I find this brainiac to be scary. His pitch black eyes, monotone voice and robotic movements show an extreme lack of humanity I guess. His appearance is frightening and borderline demonic looking. As for zod I can't see a egotistical kryptonian warrior like him not only bargaining in this way. Zod is a warrior and I feel that zod would fight brainiac for krypton just like superman fights brainiac for earth. Zod would see brainiac as an enemy and would fight him to the bitter end. Zod would not allow himself to be relegated to a beta just to bargain with a machine. That's just my take. But to be honest this is a pretty awesome short bid.

@Sourabh Karmakar Nah. Nor is Gotham, that show's on its own as well. Supergirl's earth had a General Zod and he looked nothing like this General Zod. Not surprising, considering Zod is the least consistent character, appearance-wise, that DC's ever had. These are the shows that are/might be going to be connected to other shows 1 - Arrow-The Flash-Legends of Tomorrow-Supergirl-CW Seed animated serieses 2 - Titans-Doom Patrol
Schwartzbruder1 Dark Skin superman was from Earth 2, after the Infinite Crisis. Darkseid destroyed that planet though, and a convergence happened so it's not even in existence anymore...long story
yes. perry white and jimmy olsen apparently were not enough sacrifice. if perry had been renamed as perry black in the movies I would have laughed at it and gave it a pass. I just wish that, instead of blackwashing characters than half a century old if not more, they did the same as what marvel did with 616's nick fury jr and homecoming's shocker.
Monstar A yea. Though just because DC comics destroyed it doesnt mean that a studio or team couldnt make use of the material and establish their own continuity. Ex. DCAU , Injustice, DCEU, Arrowverse, Young Justice etc.
@@AS-ri1mb False. Jeffery Combs just kills it as Brainiac. Hands down. The perfect level of cool and collected, interested but dismissive. Fully in control at every moment but with that mild, just under the surface touch of madness that has driven him to his insane quest.
Jeffrey Combs portrayal of Brainiac from Injustice is lame. He is the best Scarecrow and the Question though. Corey Burton from the DCAU was the best. Now this actor Blake Ritson is.
Zod is tough if he has super powers, but Brainiac is arguably Superman's greatest enemy. In some iterations, even Darkseid has to make an alliance in order to stop him from shrinking Apokolips, or pull a Zod right here and make a deal with him.
Ednagettobed Naw, those are "data ports" that special tendril-tubes from his ship connect to. Watch some Injustice 2 to get context or the animated movie "Superman: Unbound". It basically allows him to control every part of his ship when he's inside it, instead of it running on auto like it is in this series. Trust me, we haven't seen Brainiac at full power in this series because he was cut off from his ship in the episode.

I hope he appears in the next Superman movie; or in the new series "Kripton", or at least some reference is made about Kara-El. Or come from the future to help your grandfather! It would be epic and great! Do not you think? Best regards! Thanks for reading my comment.
Judge an actor by their skills, not their bloody skin tone. As long as he is playing the character well and accurate to the comics, there should not be a problem.
Inaccuracy of Zod could potentially be a massive advertisement for the show. I think they did it on prupose. Internet can go crazy over it and that would invite people to watch.
this is by far the greatest dc liveaction show. only thing I did not like was the blackwashing of zod. I have lost count of how many marvel and dc characters have been blackwashed.
James Rivera No, pretty sure Brainiac's species does not have any powers per se (that we know of, except for possibly his 12-level intellect, which has been labeled a superpower by most comic sites). This version of Brainiac turned himself into a cyborg to help him live forever (pretty sure the cyborg parts help keep his physical body alive, kind of like Darth Vader), and he gained techno-kinesis/telekinesis/telepathy/techno-regeneration as a result of his transformation. He does have access to super-tech from thousands of different worlds that he integrated into himself and his ship, so he may have even more abilities that we don't know about yet, but these are the only ones we have seen so far. The Brainiac in older animated series like "Superman: The Animated Series" and the Justice League/Justice League Unlimited TV show also had similar abilities, but that is because that version is the Brainiac who was built by Kryptonians (Krypton is using the newer origin story for Brainiac, which was also used in the animated movie "Superman: Unbound").
From the comments below, the "Zod isn't black" comments annoy me. They also cause me to wonder about something ... Technically, human skin color is a result of pigmentation reacting to light from a yellow sun, the red blood tone with lighter skin colors, the weather humans are regularly exposed to, and the geography of the land. All of which contribute to our variety of races. This is why we have over 200 types of human. Many of these differences are however so slight from one another that for government purposes , we dumb down the number of human races to about 6. For example, we call Chinese, Polynesian, and Indonesian people Asian rather than recognize them as separate races. A red sun however emits light of a different type than a yellow. So it's unknown what skin color Kryptonians would be. Their DNA would be from an ancestry of people exposed to a red sun for countless millennia. They would though much like Earth have differing shades of color based on whether they lived near the pole or the equator. There also has to be a factor where they live. For example, whether they live near mountains, (which provide a lot of shade and weather effects), or near a desert, (which provides lots of light and different weather effects than the mountain). What kind of weather does Krypton have? This affects light as well. If you're in an area that rains a lot, your skin is lighter in color from less light because the sky is overcast. Kal-El was raised on Earth, and thus would be similar to humans because ... uhm ... Kryptonians are humanoid? Zod however was born on, raised on, and lived on Krypton for most of his life. So why does he look like an Earth person? Wouldn't he look rather alien instead? Or maybe slightly human but not as well?
quasde09 He really does portray the "Zod only cares about protecting Krypton" part of the character pretty well, kind of like Michael Shannon's portrayal in the movie.
Amazing how a low budget tv series got Krypton, Brainiac and even Doomsday so accurate... Yet you throw 300+ million dollars into the kitty for a movie and THAT was what we got with BVS...
ThunderCat123 Studios It was originally going to be a prequel, but that got changed behind the scenes. The show is now an alternate universe, so just think of it as an Elseworlds show, kind of like how the CW and Gotham are in separate TV universes from the movie universe.
TheDeathwalker86 I personally wish they kept this show as connected to the DCEU as it was *supposed* to be originally, and that Michael Shannon would have made his appearance as Zod... but the guy we got isn't *that* bad. He's at least serviceable as an Elseworld Zod, and we haven't actually seen him show off his actual power level since he's been on Krypton this whole season. His voice is pretty cool though.
The Smoking Skull it's just jarring I have this picture of what he looks like in my mind . It's like a Chinese santa claus hes just not Chinese.. it just feels like they shoe horn this stuff in just to virtue signal about how diverse they are. Alternative universe .. makes sense anything is possible then.. I live around too many blue haired SJW types . They have really got to me.

Not surprising, considering Zod is the least consistent character, appearance-wise, that DC's ever had. That's particularly shocking when you consider that DC has multiple shapeshifters throughout its numerous continuities.
These are the shows that are/might be going to be connected to other shows
1 - Arrow-The Flash-Legends of Tomorrow-Supergirl-CW Seed animated serieses
2 - Titans-Doom Patrol
of course not the DCEU fuck up trying to rush things to compete with the avengers
wasnt Zod white?
Chad Leach oh? Is this from the verse power girl comes from? Her superman has dark skin
Boo fucking hoo.
Monstar A yea. Though just because DC comics destroyed it doesnt mean that a studio or team couldnt make use of the material and establish their own continuity. Ex. DCAU , Injustice, DCEU, Arrowverse, Young Justice etc.
i need this brainiac on superman & lois
12th level intellect
Luther: "I'm overqualified"
When is zod showing up in this scene?
This is the type of Braniac character design that you'd see if he was in the DCEU.
ZOD IS KANGZ
Why did they not use Jeffery Combs. He is just . . . the best brainiac.
shepard1707 I like ya thinking. It's not as if Jeffrey combs hasn't proved that he is capable of doing a bloody good villain
Even better - Corey Burton(his voice actor from the DCAU)
This guy is even better. Perfect acting
Brainiac reminds me of Davros from Dr. Who.
It’s that Pinhead look that makes Brainiac look good.
Man the best brainiace ever
Injustice 2 brainiac
No this is Krypton's Brainiac. Not Injustice 2
Gambello no this is brainiac! 😆
This isn't Zod. If it was Zod Brainiac would KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!
Well, it is an alternate Zod, so not the more popular one.
Brainiac is more dangerous than Zod, especially on Krypton since Zod wouldn't have superpowers.
Zod is tough if he has super powers, but Brainiac is arguably Superman's greatest enemy. In some iterations, even Darkseid has to make an alliance in order to stop him from shrinking Apokolips, or pull a Zod right here and make a deal with him.
Moadar - lmao!! 😂😂
@@mr.whisper3338 Lex is Supermans greatest enemy, he's basically an egotistical psychopathic Batman.
Isn't he supposed to be General Zod grandad or is he General Zod himself?
Brainiac was amazing.
Did a pocket watch barf on his head?
Ednagettobed Naw, those are "data ports" that special tendril-tubes from his ship connect to. Watch some Injustice 2 to get context or the animated movie "Superman: Unbound". It basically allows him to control every part of his ship when he's inside it, instead of it running on auto like it is in this series. Trust me, we haven't seen Brainiac at full power in this series because he was cut off from his ship in the episode.
Wow this looks awesome!
No one can play a better ZOD than Michael Shannon.
that moment when 3 of supes worst villains nearly met. zod braniac and doomsday
I was fast forwarding to see Zod but only in the end I realized that he was the black dude lmao
Sandro Kobulia LOL, at least Brainiac still looks comic-accurate...
@@TheSmokingSkull yep while the actor was playing zod good. it was jarring to see... but mmm braniac... is just sooo good! they never gonna uber this. if they try it will turn into a triple A cgi monster :,)
Laura Dianne Vandervoort is the best characterization of Supergirl. It represents Kara very well. I hope he appears in the next Superman movie; or in the new series "Kripton", or at least some reference is made about Kara-El. Or come from the future to help your grandfather! It would be epic and great! Do not you think? Best regards! Thanks for reading my comment.
Actor who plays Zod was also in Arrow
They should have teased him in man of steel and then used him as the justice league villain
Brainiac is the thing of nightmares.
Black Zod? Well, if you don't respect the sourcematerial than you don't respect the fans and the audience neither.
Brainiac looks/sounds amazing btw.
Zoltán Perei If you find a Zod, an alien, played by an actor of different color to be appaling, than you don't deserve any respect.
Glorious Untermansch Shut the fuck up.
your an idiot. sometimes the best actors for the part are a different race than the source material. it happens.
Judge an actor by their skills, not their bloody skin tone. As long as he is playing the character well and accurate to the comics, there should not be a problem.
Tao Jones T.jones i disagree, the actor they chose for flash in Spiderman homecoming was just awful
finally!!! they made brainiac awsome
Brainiac's voice reminds me of frank the rabbit from donnie darko lol he looks great though especially for a tv show budget I gotta say.
Bruh his suit is left over from 2014 robocop
Damn, I'm gonna have to start watching. Looks pretty good.
I know Braniac has knowledge but how does he have organic powers in this without any assistance? Because of his Species?
Now is this one of Dru-Zod's relatives - or the man himself?
Luv to see Hell Raiser - Brainiac crossover
Sick scene
If he thinks Kryptonians are selfish, he’ll be doin summersaults when he meets the human race
We wuz kaaaangz on Krypton!
So this is where Walter Steele has been
The racist are getting do triggered, love it.
Where's Zod in this video?
Colin Salomon is the perfect Zod!His interpretation of the character is so fucking actual!
quasde09 He really does portray the "Zod only cares about protecting Krypton" part of the character pretty well, kind of like Michael Shannon's portrayal in the movie.
The Smoking Skull With a best performance imo
Amazing how a low budget tv series got Krypton, Brainiac and even Doomsday so accurate...
Yet you throw 300+ million dollars into the kitty for a movie and THAT was what we got with BVS...
osmt this a prequel to man of steel? What happened to zod?
ThunderCat123 Studios It was originally going to be a prequel, but that got changed behind the scenes. The show is now an alternate universe, so just think of it as an Elseworlds show, kind of like how the CW and Gotham are in separate TV universes from the movie universe.
I am Locutus of Braniac...Resistance is Futile..
beautiful
This is the 1st time they've gotten Brainiac right in t.v or movies!
Zod is not some wussy that begs for Anything.
What was the new gods tease?
This zod and brainiac vs Tyler hoechlin superman
BRAINIAC MEETS ZODD THE IMMORTAL
what was the new gods tease??
Why is Zod black?
Kryptonians aren't black
There are Kryptonians of every race. Read the comics.
there are. zod is just not one of them.
they are kryptonians. pretty sure the whole black and white thing is reserve for human.
This Brainiac vs Apocalypse
I've totally forgot to show existed i thought it didn't get a release.
Why is zod black,
TheDeathwalker86 Alternate Universe.
The Smoking Skull obnoxious diversity ..his voice is cool I guess
Because he is nigga from krypty
What was the New Gods tease in this clip?
Ian Williams The planet brainiac wants to take next Belongs to Darkseid.
Wow Zod got a major tan and shaved his head.
Someone sounds like bane!!!😂😂
Damn. Where is this Brainiac in the movie?
he looks exactly like the nsfw pron version lmao
lol i was waiting for Zod to show up :x haven't seen the show..
Frank Vasquez haha lol, everyone keeps saying that ;-]
A more imposing Brainiac would have been better this is someone’s grandpa
So general Zod is now african american also?
Zod being bald will never look good to me. It's why he looked Dumb in Injustice.
He needs a full head of hair with his goatee.
interesting take on zod in this show, i think it wasa a gooodd choice
So thats why we don’t see walter anymore in arrow went from being kidnapped by merlin to become a kryptonian
Plot twist he was a kryptonian the whole time just was trying to blend in
Show me.....why I should consider contemplating why I should save the earth...and even if it is possible
Damnnnn i dont watch this show but braniac looks pretty fucking dope
