Thanks for teaching us that; I gathered there must be some meaning to the title. These girls' song titles and lyrics are as hardcore as the guitar riffs.
The images of the still forest, the close-ups of the girls, the rhythm of the music, the choruses, are all pieces of this work of art. /静かな森のイメージ、女の子のクローズアップ、音楽のリズム、コーラス、すべてがこの芸術作品です。
LOVE that the lyrics include references to whippoorwills/nighthawks!! They're cool, creepy birds and they are said to be psychopomps in Lovecraft's Dunwich Horror :)
Once in a Japanese class we learned about a dish called "Snapo" (snapping turtle), which is served with a glass of red liquid. Our instructor asked us what we thought it was, and I joked that it was turtle blood... well, it was.
The whippoorwill has been used as an element in many dark tales, including as a plot device in The Dunwich Horror, a story by Lovecraft, apparently, so it makes a lot of sense that it is used here: From wikipedia: Due to its song, the eastern whip-poor-will is the topic of numerous legends. A New England legend says the whip-poor-will can sense a soul departing, and can capture it as it flees. This is used as a plot device in H. P. Lovecraft's story The Dunwich Horror. Lovecraft based this idea on information of local legends given to him by Edith Miniter of North Wilbraham, Massachusetts when he visited her in 1928. This is likely related to an earlier Native American and general American folk belief that the singing of the birds is a death omen.[14] This is also referred by Whip-poor-will, a short story by James Thurber, in which the constant nighttime singing of a whip-poor-will results in maddening insomnia of the protagonist Mr Kinstrey who eventually loses his mind and kills everyone in his house, including himself. The bird also features, however, in The Runaway Slave at Pilgrim's Point, a poem by the English poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning, in which the outcast speaker asks: "Could the whip-poor-will or the cat of the glen/Look into my eyes and be bold?"[15]
Nice. Needs some more vids off of From Chaos Born. NECRONOMIDOL needs to play at next year's J-Pop Summit festival in San Francisco too. Would love to see them live.
I don't know, something seems really off by the succession of static shots but at the same time ... This music is really intriguing. Looking forward to know more about them.
Considering the title of the song, Aokigahara was the perfect place to film this, and I suspect that the atmosphere of the place was what put those nervous expressions on the girls' faces. The setting did all the talking, and I found it to be like the song in that it was beautiful but unsettling at the same time, and I suspect that was the idea, especially with how ever so slightly off-key the main vocal was; it put me on edge in just the right way to appreciate this song. Now if only Logan Paul hadn't put this place on the map the way he did--I wanted to slap that boy with a kaiju-sized Clue By Four when the incident he filmed came to light.
youtube had a brainfart again so a late reaction... i know about the manager and stuff. what i mean is i find it hard to believe they could carve out a place between other idol bands... even harder to belive a record company dealing with idols would sign a contract for this... apparantly someone did tho so...
oh damn well good for them man thats good to see !!... yeah ive been checking stuff like it since my first comment here :) awesome stuff thanks for the comment
@@andresjaimes9088 the first anti-idol band was BiS, i really recommend them! they are great pioneers on the alternative idol scene, though their songs are usually less metal and more punk
Yes. Second most popular place on the planet to kill one self. Which is what they've done with this song, created a hauntingly beautiful perfect song to have on your phone playlist when you enter that forest for that purpose. Some pretty dark shit. Dude that came up with it is either a genius, a sick bastard, or both. Personally, I love this song, but afterwards I think I need to go listen to about a dozen Babymetal songs back to back to return joy back into the world.
+Kmuda Oscarfish I found Necronomidol mostly thanks to Babymetal because I started researching Babymetal and other groups like it. I can't stand black metal vocals but I've always been drawn to the melodies and haunting, dark atmospheres. This has both vocals that I like and the atmosphere. Do you know any Babymetal songs that has a similar feel as this? The closest I can come is Sis. Anger...
Possibly Rondo of Nightmare has the "darkest" feel of any Babymetal song. The only Babymetal song with this atmospheric quality would be From Dusk to Dawn. There is no video of FDTD and the song has only been played once live. The BM fans took fancam videos from that show and overlayed the studio audio. You can see that here: drive.google.com/file/d/0B73Zx5NrDwdVRmFYaEk1d1dYRFk/view?usp=sharing
It was AMAZING to be there for that. What a complete surprise and a fantastic way to wrap up a great day and a half of waiting in line, meeting fans and trading gifts.
A Psychopomp is a being who guides the recently deceased to the afterlife. I'd say this video is pretty fitting for the theme indicated by the title.
Thanks for teaching us that; I gathered there must be some meaning to the title.

Is it just me or this song gives a damn good black metal vibe
To give a little background, Necronomidol is a Post-Black Metal band. It's like Black Metal with poppy vocals, kinda.
Gaijin
@@lorddrac_dontaskmetodance I love the mix to be honest

depressive suicidal kawaii metal

Creepy and dark as fuck. It's an invitation to die. I love it.
Mi favorita del nuevo disco, sin duda esta banda debería ser más conocida... From Chaos Born fue perfecto de principio a fin.
broke: shooting your metal music video in a snowy forest in scandinavia
woke: shooting your metal music video in Aokigahara
They basically did both
This is amazing!!
I made a joke to my friend "this must have been shot in the suicide forest "- well .....it is
Once in a Japanese class we learned about a dish called "Snapo" (snapping turtle), which is served with a glass of red liquid. Our instructor asked us what we thought it was, and I joked that it was turtle blood... well, it was.
For anyone looking for it, apparently the word is "suppon" and a search for "スッポン 血" will get you there.
check out Bis's My Ixxx MV, it was also shot on suicide forest, and the members are with skin-tone small clothes to seem they are naked

Agreed, fuck him. This song is beautifully unsettling though, for sure, and the place used is just fitting, not offending.
I love this song sooooo much!

What in the actual fuck.
I think this song about road to walking suicide
