the huge lake between bakhar and pantar looks like a modified lake Tahoe which may explain why Carson City is there. CODOL Carson City is also modified too
Might as well explain a bit of the campaign and the story here, since Chinese is my native language, the mission names will be translated into how I think is more accurate to the original Chinese titles though, and I suggest that you watch the gameplay footages first or reading this alongside with it. Oh boy, it's going to be a long one.
Mission 1 : Unidentified You're playing as Agent 7 for an unknown force, your objective was to recover a specific cargo, seems like a weapon, once you got there, you guys found out that the cargo isn't there, and need the collect the information in order to find that weapon, so you took the laptop instead, eventually the ship was being attacked, but your team successfully extracted, got the data, while also saying that your next target is somewhere called "Juarito".
Mission 2 : Connector - Juanito, July 27th, 2013 In the intro, Ghost reported to Captain Price about a cargo ship was being attacked by unknown forces, they do not know who are those people, nor do they know what is the cargo, but they need to find out. In the meantime, Task Force 141 is currently investigating General Vasquez, who had conducted countless crimes like smuggling arms, Task Force 141 thought that he could be related to the attack on the cargo. Task Force 141 also got Hector Ortiz serving as an undercover in Vasquez's group, and he know some people that would give him information for money. Priced decided to have Ghost bringing you, the Rook, to Juarito, and see what Ortiz can tell. However, later on it turns out that Ortiz sold you guys out, so you and Ghost started to chase him down, in the end you and Ghost successfully captured him. In the cutscene at the end, Soap reported to Price that it was Vasquez who made Ortiz to betray Task Force 141, and Vasquez was far more dangerous than how Task Force 141 thought, as he has been providing military grade equipment to the Cortez Cartel, in favor for them helping him transport the cargo. Ghost said that Vasquez knew that they're here, and went to hide in his manor. Price addressed that Vasquez is now cooperating with the Cortez Cartel as their "Umbrella", which ain't a good news. Ghost pointed out that Ortiz didn't said much, but mentioned the city of Odelan, while Price stated that they need to capture Vasquez first, then raid his base at Odelan, and they're planning to move to his manor in the morning.
Mission 3 : Safehouse - Juarito's Northern Border, July 27th, 2013 In the intro, Price said that Vasquez and the Cartel is secretly smuggling some stuff out from the country, but they have yet know what is the cargo, but they now know where he's hiding, and want us to capture him alive. In the end, you successfully captured Vasquez, and now holding him in the helicopter, Price want us to go to Odelan, and using him as an exchange for the cargo before it was smuggled out.
Mission 4 : Crash Site - Eastern South Odelan, July 27th, 2013 In the Intro, Price said that Vasquez is using Odelan as a temporary base, and drones will support us in the air, we need to infiltrate the town, go to Vasquez's office, and search for anything related to the cargo. But your helicopter got shot down, and you got captured, but just before Vasquez is about to kill you, Ghost arrived and Vasquez was killed in the action. Later on, you and Ghost both went to Vasquez's office and start to download the date, but you need to protect it because it'll let the enemy know your location. Eventually you both succeeded and went for the extraction site, but they stumbled upon the enemies who were searching the remains of the helicopter, Price ordered you to destroy the crashed helicopter with C4s, after that, you both went to the top of an building and lights flare for the extraction. We got the information, but it's not good news. In the cutscene at the end, it turns out that the cargo they're smuggling is actually Element 115, Price also said that it's not even the worse news, as the cargo's destination is Bakhar. The Specialists and Ambassador is now trying to contact with Bakhar authorities, and Task Force 141 will continue to search for information regarding Element 115 in the black market. Meanwhile, Price wanted you to go to the origin of Element 115.
Mission 5 : Infiltration - Bakhar and Tarkhar's DMZ, July 27th, 2013 In the intro, Price said that the ambassadors of Bakhar stated that they never had any contacts with either Vasquez or the Cortez Cartel, they also stated that the factory where the Element 115 was delivered to isn't in Bakhar, but rather at the Demilitarized Zone with a nearby nation Tarkhar. Price also said that their commander, Colonel Harker think that the mission will not have any results, but the central command ordered us to infiltrate the DMZ, Harker want us to observe in secret, so we need to stay low. Infiltrate the chemical factory, collect the intel, and find out who is deceiving us. You with both Ghost and Soap arrived at the place, and found out that there are armed soldiers in the DMZ, and not just ordinary soldiers, but the Shadow Company, and we cannot let them get the Element 115, but at the same time, we've lost contact with Harker, so the mission will be on our own. eventually infiltration isn't possible anymore due to the large amount of presence of Shadow Company forces, and we need to understand what's behind the scenes. You fought through enemy forces, destroyed the radar, and meet up with Soap, and it seems like the mission is more than what they had thought. In the cutscene at the end, Harker have completely disappeared, no one know where he went, as Price said to us. Soap suggested that we should terminate the operation due to Harker's missing, but Price refused, stating that the factory is now being heavily guarded by the Shadow Company, and we should infiltrate it with the support of drones.
I love the attention to detail in the first mission. Character slides down with a hazmat suit and gloves and takes them off within -0 seconds to pick up firearm....
