Hon ledama is one vocal leader always adding his voice where possible i like how he articulates issues he fits in the group of sakaja kilonzo Jr keep it up
Next time, argue with an actual map in place (history and present). Media should also stop playing fools. Get a map on the screen and all the survey documentation (history), so that we get the gist of this story
This ladema is truly a kid in the block when it comes to discussing issues of great importance coz how do you discuss about marital matters n ranches when the topic is all about mau forest purukenge kabisa
There comes a time when we must negate this politicians the power to shape our countries destiny and especially when environmental issues are at stake. We have politicized the mau conservation efforts far too long . Just like we forcefully evicted residents who had occupied the langata road reserve in kibera let encroachers leave MAU and lets be mindful of the generations to come.
we have pple in Kenya who have more than 1000 acres , can we investigate them if possible? Why Kenyans are suffering in an tighty place like mau forest and yet Kenyatta's families have got much land ?
my friend , the government has power to do so without the constitution ..how many times the government have gone against the kenyan constitution? Its posible . Is it fair someone with 100s acres and others having a point or living in a rental houses and yet we are kenyans ?
Save the Mau. Kenya is already 70% Arid and Semi Arid. HOWEVER, if the government was really serious, it could recover corruption proceeds and use that to resettle the populace. Then, no one would complain.
This Ledama dude is making a whole lot of sense. For once an opposition politician standing for the truth and will not relent. Keep up the fight Senator....These are the kind of young leaders Kenya is yearning for....
Please don't create hatred you are God fearing people if you start using forces, those big men's will never be hurted, our people kindly use your commonsense.
There are people in prison with families/kids/basic needs. You do not grab public land (and cry foul). They ended up in the forest illegally (even if they were duped) and have no legal reason to remain there.
Whether the issue is politicized or for the welfare of the environment, i love how they call each other "my dear friend", "my dear brother" unlike us Kenyans who go calling each other nasty words in the name of ethical politics. . .
Former Govn, Let me ask you...Assuming, i am your neighbour, we have a boader/cut line and you want to plant your crops...will you plant past the cut line, then you say...i have decided to plant past the cut line bcoz you had more seedlings and you dont want them go a waste...then later come claim that's your portion...
Jeff you should have organised a big screen so that we can get a feel of the real issue on the ground. The senator has now resorted to explaining this on a piece of paper which the viewers are not able to see.Even Ruto is using citizen's cushion to explain the topography. Its kind of hilarious.WORD OF THE DAY -CUTLINE
Indeed its petty when it comes to share resources (ourselves). Well its here, the inevitable 7000 year old transitional prophetic seismic event in the rift. Only IN ONE, WITH ONE & THROUGH ONE shall we endure.
Kenya na corruption and politicizing everything I think mother nature needs to be taken care of.watu warudi walikoishi kabla waje kuishi msitu wa mau.politics kando this isn't the first eviction in kenya.
Bw. Rutto is rather resigned today IMHO. Where's the fiery Rutto of Aug 2017! This Ledama gentleman is quite articulate. I relish how he strives to bring context to the subject. NO, History CANNOT be wished away Bw. Rutto.
Stop politicising Mau issue time and again. People you evicted are surviving under abject poverty and impoverishment. On the other hand, others are facing rough times of perennial droughts especially the Masai. Its, simple, these people have nowhere to go, compensate them! That will solve the whole problem.
Kalenjins don't care about the forest because they don't have severe droughts. Maasais on the other hand have suffered seriously. The maasais are the ones being evicted but the Kalenjins have not yet been touched yet they're the loudest. Mtajua hamjui.
Do you know about Maasais and Kalenjins in Narok and Bomet counties and their settlement patterns or your are just making an ignorant comment. Let me give you an assignment: why are the floods hitting Narok-Mai Mahiu areas unlike before? Find answers and come debate.
I AM COUTING ON YOUR VOICE TO STOP THIS NONSENSE. HII NI UJINGA YA HUYU MSEE TAFADHALI MUEDUCATE NA UPELEKE KALE KAMOTION YA KAENDE NYUMBANI, NYUMBANI NYUMBANI
Kipsigis people have land in kericho which is being occupied by British land owners who are growing profitable tea but which doesn't benefit the kipsigis of kericho one single bit. Thus Murkomen and arap mashamba should take their people back to kericho county and invade those British owned farms and settle their kipsigis there. Failure to that I see the hippos and the crocodiles of the Mara getting fat very soon.
After reading this, i understand that i was wasting my bundles, please say something which is positive towards our brothers and sisters in Mau. I don't believe that i will one day wake up and force people out of their homes,
Hon ledama is one vocal leader always adding his voice where possible i like how he articulates issues he fits in the group of sakaja kilonzo Jr keep it up
Ledama your great masai hero still moving with that spirit may God help you
Oledama is a good politician
when the people who had settled in the abardares were asked to leave they left with no much drama
My senator your very correct bcz the forest isn't sb resource
Next time, argue with an actual map in place (history and present). Media should also stop playing fools. Get a map on the screen and all the survey documentation (history), so that we get the gist of this story
Edwin Sanya my views too.argyments withot maps and interviewer's knowledge makes it useless
Ukifuata sana, Jeff, utakuta kuna mtu alikula kitu hapo to let pple settle there. Corruption kila mahali

I stand with Ledama Facts. Mau forest is politically messed-up.
I now understand mau things are political...

. Just like we forcefully evicted residents who had occupied the langata road reserve in kibera let encroachers leave MAU and lets be mindful of the generations to come.
I now agree this issue is politically instigated.
Ledama is so wise!! Ruto caress less about what's happening!!
Ledama olekina is right
Ths senetor is very right, and so much argument reveals something. Corruption everywhere in Kenya.
Take mau people give them land owned by mzee jomo kenyatta families and preserve our forest. Simple .
i have edited for you to understand more..
we have pple in Kenya who have more than 1000 acres , can we investigate them if possible? Why Kenyans are suffering in an tighty place like mau forest and yet Kenyatta's families have got much land ?
my friend , the government has power to do so without the constitution ..how many times the government have gone against the kenyan constitution? Its posible . Is it fair someone with 100s acres and others having a point or living in a rental houses and yet we are kenyans ?
Am not against to kenyatta family but am giving them as an example to those who owns a large amount of land.
that land was stolen not bought. its not private. should be repossessed.
Save the Mau. Kenya is already 70% Arid and Semi Arid. HOWEVER, if the government was really serious, it could recover corruption proceeds and use that to resettle the populace. Then, no one would complain.
Unbalanced debate. Ledama is too bright for Rutto to debate him.

Justin Kipkoech true
He didn't campaign here
Olekina, you could just take that evidence to DCI, otherwise don't fool us.
Come with documents to proof your points otherwise it looks like a shouting game while it is a very serious issue.
I respect this elders
Rutto is disapointing. SAD. Get those crooks out of the forest now!!
Henry Sitati crooks.. you say. Those are people with families, with kids, with basic needs.
There are people in prison with families/kids/basic needs. You do not grab public land (and cry foul). They ended up in the forest illegally (even if they were duped) and have no legal reason to remain there.
It's all about tribal, nothing like protecting the forest

This entire discussion makes no sense. Jeff should have done more research and broken down the facts with a map first. Very poor journalism.
Jeff you should have organised a big screen so that we can get a feel of the real issue on the ground.
