"elected king" ......huh? "shieldmaiden" glad they drew special attention to that concept. Also glad they're not shying away from the fact that feudalism sucks for women.
With all respect to Mr Cox, Helm was King of Rohan, not elected but exactly by inheritance like in many kingdoms in Middle-earth . He was son of Gram, the King before him. In fact, Helm's rule and it's end was in many ways special to the people of Rohan.
Why Hera and why create a character that was not central to the story? Why was it not in the eyes of his sons? Will this be just another Mary Sue story of her being the best rider and the best to be feared because she is a hero? I hope you have not taken the story of Hammerhand and made it into all about her when she was not even mentioned in the book. I am so scared of this project.
She is a canonical character (with a non canonical name) that is involved in the origin of the war. Why it was not in the eyes of Helm's sons? Because they die during the war. Read the books

They are following Helm's story, all the canonicals elements concerning his story are in the trailer (the punch and even the snow troll reference), but you are scared of seeing a woman with some protagonism

Hera wasn't part of the Tolkien's legends so that's crystal clear they won't follow the appendencies
