Hasbro..take note. This is how you do classic comic based action figures man..mostly only adults tend to buy these and appreciate them..the action figures now are lacking in technical precision..how about offering Mechbay a job as a tech artist🤗
Wow dude..phew a lot of hard work went in there..congrats. Hmmm you could make a living by providing upgrades services to all the dull plastic figures 🤗..i would buy this in a heartbeat .
Outstanding job👍👍
nice work, looks much better
Great work buddy, very well done. This will be very helpful for us. Thanks a lot
Orhan Akol You’re welcome sir.
Much better tan before, fer sure. I used those cabled from those cig.lighter (that are used to light fire places), for my custom Dr.Oct. I also placed magnets where you have red painted. Too bad old Dr.won't be able plug himself into an USD import (hmm sounds like the making for future another custom -lol)
rkttkr thank you!
Nice custom work

Bad Ass love the work
Great job. Looks amazing. Could you show how you painted his body ? Wjat process or paint or something to that effect please.
TheInfinityLion Maybe in my future videos.
Honestly us collectors know how to make the figures better and yet Hasbro can't? Oh well 😕
David Rodriguez agreed.
I did not haded a drill so I cut it with a tiny part of a nife and it work so thanks
Hi, nice work. Can you explain the paint job process?
I didn't do a full-on customization on this figure. I just did a green wash and yellow wash using Citadel paints to bring out the vibrance of the figure. Final coat it with a matte clear spray paint.
You think this could work for the superior octopus
zora The Hedgehog I do. The thickness of the tentacles is just right I think for superior octupus. I’m planning on upgrading mine when I get the time
Cool I really like to use this for mine better than the ones it came with
Can you just screw the metal arms in insted or drilling?
marvel fan 33 I guess you can but you’ll still need to modify the gooseneck wire and attached a screw or something which could be a much more longer process to do than just simply drilling and glueing it to the back of the figure.
I'm new to customizing, how do you make the body look so good? What kind of paint works well on the plastic bodies and how do you paint them? Is it always drybrushing? Thanks for any info.
charlie compton I only did a green and yellow wash on the body. An then did a white paint via dry brushing to add some minimal highlights. Then used a clear matte sealer to protect it. Acrylic paint works best for figures. I use Vallejo Paints as well as Citadel Paints for figures. And krylon clear coat for the sealer.
@@MechbayStudios do you always use sealer on all of your figures? I haven't heard anyone else talk about it so idk if it's just assumed or something?
@@MechbayStudios also do you always sand figures before you paint them or can you generally paint right on top of them?
charlie compton i think most figure customizers do seal their figures after painting to protect their paint work. I personally like to use sealant to add that additional protection from paint chipping and minor scratches from handling the figure. But in the end its all a matter of preference.
@@MechbayStudios what brand of sealer do you use? And should I only use a small amount of it?
Where did u buy the new tentacles I wanna find them in a store any suggestions
Neycan Chris I actually have an amazon link on the description for those lights but they are now unavailable. My suggestion now is for you to check ebay or amazon. Just type “led book light” and that should give some hits. Another alternative is your local dollar store where they occasionally have similar items instock. Hope you find them. Goodluck!
Wouldn’t the paint ruin some of the possibility, I tested it out an it didn’t seem to bend as well
I don’t have that issue with mine and the tentacles bends normally as it should after the paint work. So I’m not sure what’s the difference on yours. It could also be the type of paint you used.
Are you from the Philippines?
Rocky Austin Yes, spent my early childhood there. I’m now based here in the US.
