I tried the 3 main platforms and ended up choosing Azure because it is simply better.

Great video with a great explanation bro. I too chose Azure over AWS for two reasons
    1) Business and Enterprise already depend on MS services to normal business function. So much so that if the disappeared, the business would struggle to function. I felt azure was the best cloud to learn because of the leverage and better integration it could potentially offer to these businesses which already heavily use MS services.
    2) John Savill. You may know of him already if you’re in this space but his videos were explained so well and he covers a WIDE range of azure topics, that I thought, anything I need to to azure related I could find in his videos. Which would only accelerate my learning that much more
    👍🏼

Great point on the mases going to AWS, I saw a guy on LinkedIn taking almost all AWS certifications on rapid fire.
He probably learned the exams questions by heart (not having a real cloud experience), but still taking someone else's place on the interview race, before having his skills verified.

Looking at posted programmer positions it seemed to me that a lot of places asking for .Net experience also want Azure over AWS. Not surprising, but seeing as I have a lot of .Net experience it did influence my choice.

Great point of view, for my case all of the companies I worked with as a security engineer (and previously as full-stack software engineer) were using AWS and this caused me to have experience automatically. Some of my managers knew I wanted this certificate and they gave me opportunity to have experience with infrastructure team. I want to get Azure as well though.

Great video. I choose Azure cloud because of 3 reasons:
    1) My Mentor/Teacher is an Azure Solution Architect and also works for Microsoft. He taught me everything about Azure by inviting me to his Azure training classes.
    2) From what I know, Microsoft Azure encompasses the 3 main cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) more than AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
    3) This is my opinion, but I find Azure to be a more user-friendly platform.

I picked up 2 aws certs because of infrastructure and intel environment. 83% of aws infrastructure sits in the govtment and intel side. I like azure for app security and the Oracle partnership but the cert expires yearly so no thanks.

Good video. Your 5th reason is the same reason why I am going with Azure or GCP.I know the cloud industry is evolving rapidly, but my only gripe with Microsoft is that you have to recertify way too quickly now. It makes it seem like it is harder to focus on building other skillsets. Do you think it is work maintaining Azure certs or just be one and done for the experience?

    • @caleboni.certified

Yeah that’s so true! Having to renew certifications is so annoying 😂 I feel like I need to renew as I paid for it or my company did! And I never know if I’ll need it in future 🤷🏾‍♂️

"Personal Research" for me was... I'd rather choose to work with a straightforward "Virtual Machine" than silly name such as "Elastic Compute". lol
And as you also mentioned, working with Windows since anyone of us was a kid really made it a bit easier to grasp than other providers.

Amazing yes I completely agree the simplicity of azure is a massive pleasure the way things are named just makes things easy to grasp! And absolutely the windows thing mad it a no brainer for me loool 😁
