Very natural acting from Scheider and Foldi. A moment of levity in a wonderfully glitzy, dark, theatrical, messed up, edgy, tragic yet humorous, cynical, harsh, indulgent, subversive movie.

The funny part to this is that Bob Fosse's daughter Nicole DOES have a brother, an older half-brother from her mom, Gwen Verdon.

Can you imagine Fosse really doing the Father/Daughter Dance at his daughter's wedding (if Fosse hadn't died)?

There’s something slightly creepy about this. “Wrap you legs around me”?

they're father and daughter. both of them, and her mother, are professional dancers. there's absolutely nothing creepy about it, the problem is you. actually, his relationship with her is the healthiest in his life.

I get it cause it’s an “adult dance” so it’s weird seeing a child dancing this even tho it’s with her father. It’s not age appropriate.

You’re free to feel how you feel, but I disagree and don’t think it’s creepy. He was trying out choreography ideas with his daughter, using the mirror to see how it would look. It looked completely innocent to me, but I grew up in a family of artists, actors, dancers, and musicians.
Also, ever held your child on your hip or lap? That’s not creepy, right? Just holding your child. To me, same thing
