Great ideas for recycling denim, but terrible construction. I’m so glad I am able to sew a garment without the use of a glue gun. It makes a garment or accessory look cheap, especially since you already have a sewing machine. It’s not that hard to sew a lining.
I think the whole point of this is to show you can do slot of these stuff without a sewing machine because most people don't have one at hand and even if they know someone with one , they don't know how to use it (like me). Or for younger kids that are into crafts
Like the pouch in the beginning, she just used the glue gun for the inside and for the logo. And she used the machine for the zipper.
But she could have not and just hand sew the whole thing. She just showed different ways to do those things

To those reading this, you would be surprised how well hot glue holds up with fabric, but you are free to do it anyway you prefer, always. Take the great ideas and fly your own wings. 😉👍🏼❤️

The Goop brand of glue works really well on jean material. I fixed some jeans and they have been through the wash without a problem.
@@wes326, hey thanks, that’s really good to know. I know goop glue and it is really good, haven’t used it in a while though, so I’ll have to get some and get re-connected with it’s uses.

I like the cutout jeans & capris. I would definitely use the sewing option for longer wear... I guess it's good to have options, there's always last minute costume accessories & such that don't need to hold up long term! Remember high school spirit weeks?

Love the ideas , how sturdy are they? When using hot glue I wonder how long they’ll hold up
Use E600 glue if you want it permanent, but that requires drying time. 🤗
Or maybe fabric glue could also work 🤔
edit: a little bit off topic but it glues leather on leather really well. And if you want to sew it with a sewing machine, i can recommend (for leather) besides of a leather needle, a needle for jeansfabric.

Super cute ideas, and great easy to follow steps. I am curious though, how well does the hot glue hold up on load bearing parts? (I.e. the carry straps of purses)
It will not, and you can't wash them. I wouldn't do any of these as-is, but the ideas are cute and can be adjusted so that the linings, straps, and closures are sewn in.

Great ideas for denim but I would never use glue on any fabric. Not sure why you would sew some things and glue others.

I wouldn’t put a cell phone and credit cards in a case that was hot glued together. Nice ideas but I wouldn’t use hot glue it just would hold.
