I’m a black belt candidate testing for my black belt next month and I’ve been doing karate for 7 years and the form I’m doing right now is Pyong Ahn San Dan Intermediate Form #4 and 8 other forms I just did my third pre test last Saturday it was really fun I had to do 2 on 1 sparring
This was super helpful for someone just starting out with poomsae. I didn't even realize I was making some of these mistakes. Thanks for the clear tips on how to correct them!
You've been helping my little one for a while with TKD. We really appreciate it. You'll love being a mom! so... will the little one be a black belt by 5 yrs old?
Master Samery, great video as always Ma'am. Been training for roughly 1.5 years, currently Blue belt. I think for me, I do the lift the heel thing quite a bit, really need to improve on that. Love the tips!
Congratulations on your gold medal and, even more importantly, your growing family! Love your videos and enjoyed your online classes when I was testing for my 2nd dan. Thank you for all of your help with that! 3rd dan now and working on details on all the poomsaes through Hansu due to my age rather than my rank. But - I often feel very white-belt-ish as I add the layers of detail. Thanks for your videos!
Been practicing TKD for 7 months. Currently High Red belt. Thank you for these pointers! These will definitely help, especially the breaking a board with the back elbow. Thank you for the lesson!
Hola soy tu nueva subcritora por favor subi un vídeo como se hace para saltarte algúnos cinturón para rendir ejemplo de un amarillo a verde q tengo q hacer y como prepararme plis espero tu video?
I dont understand TKD punching technique. What the use of punch if your feet and plevis is not with it. Every punch starts from feet, goes through pelvis and end to the fist. Not using feet is like taking 90% of the power away... Im sorry I just dont understand this, maybe there is some reason for this.
Poomsae or forms do not reflect what a TKD practitioner would do in a fight. It is a display of martial art that requires focus, precision, balance, snap, and mastery of technique. It requires dedication. Perseverance. That’s what this is about.
@@Chogra Yes, I practise Shotokan karate and in our katas (TKD forms) we concentrate very much to the hip and leg work to make punches/block extremely effective. And yes of course no one fights the way katas are done but if you kata is good your fighting will certainly be strong.

This was great thank you! Just did my first Poomsae in class this week, so need to learn all about them. Knowing what mistaks to avoid is very useful.

The tips are really good but I did notice that your wrist placement on punching and blocking is weak and bent!
