Hakuda isn't a balancing issue its a game issue. Type soul is a game where movement is a huge part of the combat system, being able to dodge and reposition yourself quickly is like almost the essence of the game. Now take the heavily movement based combat, and add a full Skilltree and playstyle dedicated to completely removing any ability of your opponent to move. Hakuda as it is now just doesn't fit in the game. It's not fun for anyone to just have 90% of your options forcefully removed. Being in the air sucks because you can't move, you can't dodge, and you can't attack unless it's a frame 1 hyper-armor move or sometimes maybe an m1. Even those options are beat out 50% of the time. You're forced to sit there and hope you can get a parry on one of the worst parry systems on the platform or hope your opponent doesn't just fuck your one other option. The second you miss that parry, you have to watch your character get mercilessly pummeled for 15 seconds. The argument is "just parry" but that argument just sucks. If your "thing" is busted against 60-70% of the playerbase but becomes completely useless against the other 30-40% it's just bad game design, end of story.
At least none of it is true typically if they're just the 123456 kind of hakuda player. Would rather get punished for missing multiple parries and lose a chunk of health, than miss maybe one or two and get caught in a kendo true combo that does even more damage
The Parry is meh some people don't like it because is not reaction is timing is like combat warrior, except you don't get rewarded as much the parry in this game is like pressing f when the move gonna wind up
i'm ngl switching to a medic build made hakuda genuinely the easiest tree to fight against, i have never struggled against a hakuda player since the switch medic did kinda force me to lock in and get better at the game, as opposed to the speed spam i was doing prior to using medic

Right now it's just slightly behind other trees, however before the nerfs it was completely broken. A single air combo could deal more than 3 bars of damage if you knew what you were doing.
I'll amit to being a skill issue when they rework it so its groundbased and everytime I parry/dash/use hyper armor they just either get launched back or fall to the ground resting the fight they cant be punished at all (except for the weridos who spam ground counter like im not ever gonna hit you so stop)
You act like parrying allows you to punish other skill trees or something, even if they don’t get knocked back a parried player isn’t stunned and it goes back to neutral regardless of the skill tree They finna rework it and yo ass will still get combo’d on the ground if you struggling against hakuda in neutral

the whole game is shit anyways, at least the devs actually listen to the community ( or no ) and try to add / revamp stuff to make them more balance. They did medic DIRTY tho
