I prefer the GT-1 over all else including Boss's new little amp/cab pedal, the GT-1 is more than capable of replicating most standard amp production tones for live or studio recording and has many secrets that simply aren't available via the tone studio use included, they really are superb if you know how to tweak anything your aiming for.
I truly and honestly think Boss completely outdid themselves with the GT-1 and when understood and used properly has made it even harder for themselves too to develop any additional guitar tone gear across their range of available stuff, I get asked constantly to reveal how I set my parameters on mine and I can honestly only politely laugh and pass out the Kleenex.
I'll never connect mine to their software app, I know they'll most assuredly only spike my unit after copying my tweaks first. fact! I'll give you a hint though, they are wasted putting them into anything beyond a power amp with FR cab capacity 'post' to allow them to do their magic thing.

Awesome job Rod! The tone studio really adds so many dimensions to creating tones. Best part of the video was the advice about getting lost in the weeds with so many features. It's very easy to do. Demos and Wisdom! Solid work! Thanks

    Thanks Rod.
    Really helpful.
I use the Tone Studio when I am putting together my patches in my GX-100.
I use it in combo with the Pedal Interface.
    They compliment each other nicely.

Helpful video so far! Is there a way to stack overdrive to a distortion pedal like in an actual pedal setup in tone studio?

Had one a couple of weeks, not used TS yet but absolutely loving the ME90.
Couldn't get on with the GT1000 or GX100 but this is fantastic into amps 👍

I have been searching for which USB cable to use to connect the ME-90 to my computer's USB port, but I'm not finding it anywhere. Which specific USB cable will connect the ME-90 to my computer so I can use Boss Tone Studio for ME-90? Is it Type A USB to Type A USB, USB-C to Type A USB, a square (Type B) USB to Type A USB, or? Thanks!

It comes with a USB cable in the box! So as long as you have an old style USB port on your computer, you will be right to go!

Great video, useful tips. Thanks. If running the ME90 into the front of an amp would you not set a preamp in Tone Studio?
The IOS app version doesn’t seem as comprehensive.
Last point, if using a Mac check compatibility with BTS. ME90 version only runs on Big Sur onwards so us Catalina users are stuffed! 👍

Loving my ME 90 and probably the only criticism I have is there is no bypass switch unless I am missing something?

I saw your very interesting videos. I've only recently been using external IRs, but the sound is still full of bass, yours is drier. How can I improve it?

Hi. Why I can't import the downloaded tsl files into my me 90? When I import it, it just shows a blank page without the patch

Go to the boss website and download the reference manual. Read and download the firmware updater instructions as well as the IR loader instructions. They are really helpful. Rock on!

I have a lot of questions about "selectable" slots. Let's suppose I want to use a "selectable" effect but without Tone Studio. After charge it in ME90 with app and save it in a patch, can I still using that effect without app, for example in live situations?. If I want to return that "selectable" slot on the original effect, can I do it without app?. This questions are so important to my buying desition because I need a fuzz face type a lot, but if I can only use it o configure it using the app maybe this isn't my right choice. Thanks a lot for this video.

Yes! You can save any patch you have created with the app, on the ME90. The app just gives you access to extra features.

So, it looks like you can move all the effects around in a different order with the editor?

Not all, Scott. I think modulation and the eq blocks…

Good morning. I ask for help regarding the ME 90. Trying the delays: MODULATE, WARM, TAPE, ANALOG, STANDARD and also the one in the EQ/FX2 part, they are practically all the same and not even a stereo one. Is this the case or did they give me a defective pedal board? I've been using Boss pedals for a long time but never with this limit. Thank you and greetings.
    G.

I have done a video on just the delays in the ME90. Check this out: ruclips.net/video/aJ_9mNeygus/видео.htmlsi=rhAhDwK18cHSuPIX

Yes ok but they are similar and none are stereo. Then even MODULATE doesn't seem to me to modulate very much...

when i plug my me 90 into pc i get lots of interferance comming out of my amp. me 90 does not even have to be turned on how do i stop this

    • @thepedalpicassos
      @thepedalpicassos  6 месяцев назад

PC power supplies are inherently noisy. That is, they cause interference that may be related to ground loop electrical hum. Plugging the power for your ME90, your amp and your pc into the same power outlet may help.

You can change where your effects loop is: either before or after the preamp.
