39:25 was the most fascinating part of this discussion. Robbie Lawler opening a pack of Altoids only to put it back in his pocket and not eat any.

lol, that shows perfectly how Brendan never really had it. Rogan was 100% right. real world class, potential champions don't think like that. all they see is training, fighting and winning.
also something seemed off about Brendan here. i think his ego was taking a beating having these two sitting beside him. they are what he wanted to be so badly for so many years.

kjenriquez16 lol Yea I kinda figured Callen had a reason for not being there, I just wanted to use that comment as an excuse to rant about Bryan. I've tried to tweet at him about Kingdom. The people that ran the show retweeted, but nothing from Bryan. He's not a bad guy, just a disorganized scatter brain.

+MSV-one Its the fault of Evan the beard not transferring the video audio to youtube properly. He also commonly fails to adjust audio levels on itunes quite frequently. However, they are a close knit team and his work rarely comes into question. (Hes the guy that does the sections at the end with special K.) People have commonly cited his quality issues but he doesn't respond nor alter his methods. But in the end when you work for fox.....who gives a fuck.

Great viewpoints and testimonials from all three fighters. As a huge MMA fan, it's particularly heartbreaking to hear them talk about the intense and brutal training in the early days - stuff that has shortened careers and hampered fighters' ability to perform when it counts. I'm glad that people are starting to train smarter. You look at a guy like Forrest Griffin and wonder where he could be if he didn't go to war in the gym every day.

  • @liceamarcos1

Finally some fighters!! and great fighters at that! Both guys are true definition of humble martial artists. And in a way it was good that Bryan wasn't there since he loves to ask silly fan boy questions but at the same time I missed Bryan's ability to make everyone laugh and feel like at home. That's why both of you together make the show what it is. I guess only way to make it work when fighter guests come on the show is to ask Bryan to sit there like a good boy and don't ask any questions just interject jokes. But good luck with telling Bryan he cant talk. Anyways, loved the episode!

More of these please, for the love of god. I dunno if Bryan would have added or subtracted from this, but I definitely would have loved to see Callen shine these guys' knobs a lil.

I think Condit's a beast but especially after how Robbie looked against Rory, I just can't see Condit beating him. Robbie looked so slick in that fight and his striking is always lethal

They never made eye contact. Must have been quite awkward. Pretty damn cool though. I've never seen two guys currently in camp to fight one another sit down for an open dialog interview like this.

Ridiculously awesome... well done Shaub for pulling this podcast off...!!! Also, I have to agree with some other comments, I think Bryan would have spoiled the atmosphere somehow. Still like Callen though : ) 👌 .
Well done again Brendan, good job mate!

Marco Ruas :) What was the name of the guy that he trained? Was it Pedro Rizzo? He knocked Coleman out. So did Maurice Smith. I love the old UFC too. Been watching since UFC 3, so there!

It's crazy that the current WW champion is a guy who Nick Diaz knocked out way back in the day. Fighters from Nick & Robbie's era aren't supposed to be on top in this new era... much respect to Robbie Lawler!!! Been a fan of his since the early days...
