Mushrooms are full of Vit D. If you leave your mushrooms out in the sun their Vit D content goes up even after they've been harvested, how cool is that. I make mushroom soup for mum and dad who are in their 80s, they love the stuff and it's really good for them. I am so chuffed your cancer journey has is going so positively. I really believe that time is not on cancer's side. If you can buy yourself plenty of time more treatments are coming along all the time. Good luck and have a fab Christmas 🙂
This is a good tip! A mushroom grower friend of mine has told me this, and says it makes a big difference in the color of the shrooms if they're grown with or without sunlight as well. And sure enough the vitamin D they take in is accessible to us as well.

Hey Paul, I commented a few times. It’s incredible that our mucinous Appendix cancers are following similar paths and timeline. I was diagnosed nearly the same time, July ‘23, have been recovering from a few surgeries since, and 3 weeks ago determined NED from my CT scan. Thanks for your videos, you have no idea how much watching our parallel experiences with emotions, treatments, testing, good news/bad news, and everything that comes with this specific diagnosis helped. Thank you and congratulations. Treat yourself, you deserve it, and enjoy the good news. I know I am.
Hi Andrew, thank you so much for messaging me. Ours is such a rare diagnosis, that we owe it to ourselves to help each other. I am glad I was able to do that for you, and you have done it for me. Stay in touch, and let's hope we both keep our NED status for years to come. Paul.
This calls for a quote from the Shawshank Redemption: "I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain."
Paul, You have had every right to feel sorry for yourself. Your emotions and feelings have been entirely normal. You have been incredibly brave and you have probably saved and extended many other lives with your inspirational channel. You will have instilled so much hope and a positive mind set is not to be underestimated.
Hi Paul, I’ve followed your whole journey from your first update on day one. I’m in the US (KY) and I’ve been an RN for 31 years with a BS in Psychology as well. Your willpower and courage continue to impress me. You could be a healthcare professional at this point with the knowledge you’ve been forced to learn. I just want to wish you and Caroline the happiest Holidays ever. You are blessed to actually GET the essence of life. My wish for you both is simple…I pray you get to linger and waller in happiness for the rest of your time in this realm. You’ve fought hard, and deserve it more than most I know. I hope to be as brave and emboldened as you when I’m faced with my own mortality. March on and celebrate, my friend- you’ve already won the race.
Several years ago I was having unexplained issues and while my MD said “all of my labs were normal “ my friend who is an osteopath insisted I get my vitamin D level checked. My MD reluctantly did and my level was 4. Yes 4. I’ve always been an outside person so it wasn’t a lack of being outside. I started taking vitamin D supplements at 20,000 iU daily and it finally went to the low normal range. Over time I have been able to keep it in range with 10,000 iU daily and will continue indefinitely. Your mentioning how important it is is a great one!!! Glad you’re doing so well!!
I’m reading this on Thanksgiving in USA…. I’m thankful all the prayers going up in agreement on your behalf have led to NED Day!!!!! May God continue to bless you each and every smashing day, Paul! 💕🙏💕🙏💕
I don't know if you read my comment on your previous vid, but hopefully you saw it. I accidentally deleted it trying to make an edit, but to reiterate one thing: HELL YEAH! So happy for you.

PnP I am so thankful that you are doing well. You look & sound fantastic. I knew that Prof Morris wasn't a false hopes type of guy. Find a job that makes you happy. Just breathe. Try something out. It doesn't have to be a lifetime commitment. Please tell Sweet Caroline hello. This is the most wonderful news I've had in a while. I'm celebrating w you. Hugs & good vibes. Take care. It’s an extraordinarily thoughtful and kind thing to reassure anyone who is sick and struggles to appreciate the improvement of others that their feelings are normal and understandable. That kindness and concern that you have and freely share has something to do with your improvement even if we can’t pinpoint precisely how. I have no words to express how thrilled I am for you so I’ll rely on my standard reply… ❤❤❤❤❤❤ but today calls for a little extra 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Absolutely wonderful Paul. Hard to imagine low vitamin D out there in sunny Australia 😂. D3 + K2 is what my mom has me on. She’s been taking it since her cancer diagnosis a few years back and my D3 levels have been good since! Wonderful to hear this news, and thinking of you often mate. God bless
I remember quite some time ago when all you had was bad news, I believe you were even contemplating end of life options. I left a comment begging you to keep fighting and to not give up and how everyone looked up to you! I’m soo happy to hear this news! I’m working my way to becoming cancer free or in remission as we speak! Love to you!❤️
This is such wonderfully, incredible, and heartfult news. My daughter was six months old when I first found your channel and now i have a two year old. Time flies and while i didnt know how your journey was going to turn out (obviously) when i started watching, im so incredibly happy now. I will reitterate my first comment here, youre always welcome to Scotland and i hope one day i could catch a beer with you Paul, in this life or the next. 🧡🏴
I first stumbled across one of your earlier videos over a year ago. I remember you being in turmoil and saying your doctors words were 'we need a miracle'. I'm so happy you sought other opinions, and got in touch with Prof. Morris. Just goes to show to people out there, explore your options, consult many doctors.
❤❤❤❤ Paul this is fantastic news, you’ve fought very hard to get where you’re at today, where many would have given up, your videos are very educational, you are looking much better. I hope Caroline is enjoying the good news and that you can both enjoy things ❤❤❤❤
I am so happy for you! I remember when you made that heartbreaking video that had me in tears! I never thought you would get to this point! May you never go back to those dark days and may your health continue to improve! Absolutely awesome!!!!
Years ago when I was 23 my Vit D level was 2. My doc thought the lab had made a mistake and made me redo the test 3 times. It was right, after my doc did a lot of digging and researching, turned out I have a rare genetic condition that means I don't absorb it from sunshine or food. Deep bone pain is one indication of low Vit D, if you press on your sternum lightly and it really hurts, chances are your Vit D level is low... I nearly decked my physician when he pressed on mine lol. It took 4 capsules a day for 35 yrs to get it up and last test was 99 so doc dropped it to 2 capsules a day. The good thing is the genetic thing I have is very rare so your get out in the sunshine and food advice is good. Jypust one thing, if you go the supplement route, get your doc to test your level because Vit is fat soluble and too high so the body doesn't get rid of excess and too high is not good just too low is not good too. So good that the scan results are so good, makes all you went through with both huge surgeries worthwhile. Even if not a definite long term cure, if the time it buys you is good quality it's worth it. A positive outlook will take you a long way.
Good stuff, get out in the sunshine. You would make a great teacher. You’re interesting to listen to. You have a calming voice. And your fun. Glad you’re feeling better Paul. 👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️
As a nurse in the UK, I feel you with the darkness problem, SAD and it making everyone damn sad. Glad you're able to get plenty of rays in Aus! Sending love ❤️ 🌞 ☀️
Paul, I’m so happy to hear such wonderful news of your CT scan. Cancer, no matter how small or large, the disease is changes a person and there should never be a shame in that person’s game to feel different for feeling it. Having had cancer myself, I am different today than before, and my journey was not anywhere as complicated as yours, but it was cancer nonetheless. I’m happy to hear you are beginning to truly live again instead of planning to die, I wished everyone could have this same wonderful news. You’ve truly been to the brink of hell and returned. It’s okay to be happy and to ask, was it all worth it? Heck yeah, it was bloody well worth it! Congratulations, and enjoy your holiday with Caroline down south and when you find the right occupation to rejoin the workforce you’ll know it but until that time, enjoy life! You’ve earned it.
I don't think saying that I'm happy for you quite expresses how much hope, joy, and relief your news gives me. I'm glad you persisted and that you are here to keep living and making the world a better place with your presence. Congratulations! 🎉❤
Hi Paul thanks for the information. I have a vitamin D deficiency and have to take a vitamin every day. When I originally had mine tested it was an 8. Im in USA. You look amazing. Love to see you smile. 😊
Paul, you look fantastic! So happy to see you doing so well! And NED…….you fought so hard to get here, and you made it. So incredibly happy for you. 😊❤
I'm so happy for your good news! I was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and if I feel down I will look to you as a great example to carry on despite it all. Love!
This is amazing Paul now you can start living this beautiful life that you have been so blessed with. You have been there a living hell my friend and now with this amazing news. Sending ❤❤❤ and 🤗😘😘
❤❤❤❤❤❤ You been through a scary journey, i only want to see you enjoy, experience. I was very low on Vita D3 and im now taking Supplements... And its improve. So its good you have reminded everyone. ❤❤ Love from Nevada, you appreciate, which alot of people dont! Hello to Caroline!!!❤
NO NED NED I am so Excited for you Sweet Paul....YES a wonderful day and news you shared with us....WONDERFUL....Bliss in FL....❤❤❤ Oh Paul, you have been thru bloody hell and so I find it quite human we all wish it was not us....👍👍👍
How wonderful Paul before the holidays to get that awesome news. I have followed you since video one, and have shed more than one tear on your behalf. Twenty five thousand subscribers share in your happiness. You have become an expert on your own cancer, where so many others might be in shock and denial.
Excellent news sir. Admire your courage for going through those procedures twice. Hopefully you are enjoying the results of your bravery. Enjoying every day mate.
Such great news 🎉 When you think about how your first hospital was ready to write you off, it makes you wonder how many people give up and succumb because they’re told the same. On a personal note, I’ve been supplementing Vit D3 since Covid hit. I’ve never had so much as a cold in that time, and I’m convinced that Vit D is playing a major role. Take care.
I’m so happy for you Paul! I have a vitamin D deficiency too and am currently on a high dose of vitamin D that is taken once a week. I don’t know about Australia, but the UV index in the northeast of the US isn’t very high. We are still encouraged to use sunscreen. I’m not preaching, I’m just thinking about your health seeing how you’re now cancer free (yay). Stay healthy and strong! We are so proud of you and how far you’ve come. It’s incredibly brave to see all you have gone and been through. It takes a scary experience to realize that life is fragile. It makes you feel like you should live every day as if it was your last, because you never know. Take care of yourself and I hope you find a job or hobby that makes you happy and feel fulfilled ❤
Congratulations Paul! 🎉 Such great news! I couldn't be happier for you. It's been a very long road(been with you from the beginning) I'm thrilled you'll be able to enjoy life with a peace of mind. You're an awesome person, people will really enjoy knowing you and having you around. 😉 BTW, the little joke with the hat was so cute! Loved your little laugh! Hello to sweet Caroline! Much love to you both from NJ, USA!🇺🇲 ❤❤
This is very important information about vitamin D Paul, thank you for sharing it. Paul, you have inspired me to make a channel to document my journey through my stem cell transplant. I’ve been fighting cancer for six years and seeing how your content has helped others I have decided to take the leap and make a channel. I am so incredibly happy for you 🥰
Paul, you have been an inspiration. I am so happy to see this latest report! I was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery last October, and it was very difficult. Your posts helped to provide encouragement and support. Good luck with the Mazda! You can rebuild it!
With you since CU 11. As I mentioned before you are a warrior. You won battle after battle. And now you winning the war. Proud of you!! This gives lot of motivation to my dad who is fighting near you against same disease. Cheers!
Great to see the Paul smiles back mate, as an bloke a little older than you who found out that I had prostate cancer a few months back and am now in radiotherapy I am amazed at your indomitable spirit and will to beat to death the horrible version you had, and I'm so happy you're a NED now! Needs a T shirt though...😊 I'd buy one!
Such wonderful news, Paul! May you have many sunny, vitamin D filled days ahead! Looking forward to seeing what's ahead for you in your cancer free life🙂.
Paul, so happy to see you out in the sun. I just got the same news about vitamin D. I am so fair but always felt healthy, happier, that I looked better in my clothes, when I had a good tan. Plus I love how the sun can disguise a lot of marks. I can attest to depression being part of low vitamin D. I don't know if I told you but bought a new house. Got the keys a few weeks ago. Having the hardest time simply packing to have the movers come. I'm only safe until the end of Nov. Had to pay two mortgages there and here. I knew it'd take time moving. I'm a mess. Ha Ha. I'm so happy to see you looking well Paul. You look well. I found out another content creator that I just love, retired NYPD policeman and 911 first responder his name is DutyRon. Popular channel, good person like you has got the cancer back. Never takes a break does it? My prayers and love to you and Caroline. 🩵🩵
All good test results have confirmed that you are not just looking well and healthy, you actually are well and healthy. Each day going forward can now be devoted to constructive activities that bring you happiness and a sense of accomplishment. The gift of health is now yours and I am so so happy for this great news. Keep us posted in what adventures are taking place! ❤️
Paul, you've been through far too much in the past two years. I'm so happy to hear that you've gotten another report that you are doing well. Just hearing the positivity in your voice is so wonderful. Every day is a gift going forward. Do what you can, do what you need to do, and do what makes you happy. That's a big "win" in my books. As you look forward to the holidays, my wish for you is that 2025 will continue to bring you great medical reports and that you are working in a job that suits your needs and allows you to share your vast amount of knowledge with everyone. As always, I send best wishes to you and Caroline. ❤❤❤ Thelma (USA)

@@ugabuga1361 There are loads of recipes on the internet. Lots of fab ideas! I make it this way.
1 large onion
2 garlic bulbs
about 250g of mushrooms
2 knor veggie stock cubes (makes 900ml of stock)
3 heaped table spoons of nutritional yeast
40g plain flour
a good dose of butter probably about 50g
150ml of cream
a good pinch of mixed dried herbs
I fry the onions in the butter with the garlic
Add the finely chopped mushrooms
Once the mushrooms have started to fall slightly add the flour a little at a time so it doesn't clump.
Add the veggie stock and stir whilst the soup thickens
Add the nutritional yeast ( I find this adds a meaty depth to the flavour, however if you aren't a vegetarian you could substitute veggie stock for chicken stock and skip the nutritional yeast)
Throw in a good pinch of mixed herbs.
Add the cream
Add salt and black pepper to taste
I like to partly blend the soup, I have completely blended it smooth and then added a quickly fried a mix of oyster and or chestnut mushrooms for a bit of flare, but I usually I just serve it straight with a chunk of bread, comfort food style 😉.

How wonderful Paul before the holidays to get that awesome news. I have followed you since video one, and have shed more than one tear on your behalf. Twenty five thousand subscribers share in your happiness. You have become an expert on your own cancer, where so many others might be in shock and denial.
Amigos Paul y Caroline, I’m so happy to see you healthy and happy🙏🏻👏🏻🩵🥰Love U both a looooottttttt!🌈🍭🐞🍀😘👍🏻
Excellent news sir. Admire your courage for going through those procedures twice. Hopefully you are enjoying the results of your bravery. Enjoying every day mate.
Hooray, remission! You are a rock star my friend.
Such great news 🎉
When you think about how your first hospital was ready to write you off, it makes you wonder how many people give up and succumb because they’re told the same.
On a personal note, I’ve been supplementing Vit D3 since Covid hit. I’ve never had so much as a cold in that time, and I’m convinced that Vit D is playing a major role.
Take care.
So so happy to see hear this wonderful news Paul and to see you've bought a car to work on is just fantastic!!! 🧡
Good for you Paul!!
I HAVEN’T EVEN WATCHED THE VIDEO BUT HUGE CONGRATS ON BEING NED!! Terrifying and thrilling at the same time, I know.
Paul rocks! I absolutely believe he will heal completely 😀👌👍
England loves ya Paul. The sun shone for 5 mins recently...woo hoo! 🩷🧡💛🧡🩷
So amazing! I am dancing in the streets for you. 💃💃💃💃💃💃💃❤️🥕
Congratulations, Paul. Praying for higher Vitamin D! Love from L.A.
Watching this video again cos it makes me so damn happy. Do whatever you want, Paul!!
This is very important information about vitamin D Paul, thank you for sharing it. Paul, you have inspired me to make a channel to document my journey through my stem cell transplant. I’ve been fighting cancer for six years and seeing how your content has helped others I have decided to take the leap and make a channel. I am so incredibly happy for you 🥰
Absolutely miraculous. So happy to hear this news Paul.
Congratulations on your NED Paul! I’m so SO very happy for you! Enjoy every moment in your journey through life!
Paul, you have been an inspiration. I am so happy to see this latest report! I was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery last October, and it was very difficult. Your posts helped to provide encouragement and support.
Good luck with the Mazda! You can rebuild it!
That is joyful news! May you have oodles of sunny days, Paul 🌞
Great to see that big smile on your face bro.

With you since CU 11. As I mentioned before you are a warrior. You won battle after battle. And now you winning the war. Proud of you!! This gives lot of motivation to my dad who is fighting near you against same disease. Cheers!
No evidence of disease is definitely a reason to celebrate! Wow! I am over the moon with joy for you! If I could still do a cartwheel, I would! 🥳

Amazing news! So, so happy for you!!
That’s great Paul 🎉
You would make a wonderful ESL teacher. Celebrating you today🎉 ❤❤😊
