Hey Ryan. Myanmar is still fine to visit. It's just a pain in the butt as we are on generator power more than mains these days. Also cell phone reception is dodgy. I've travelled and filmed all over Myamar these last two years. You can't get to the conflict areas as they are cordoned off at least a 100kms away. So you can safely get around no dramas. That why sensatiolist RUclipsr like Luke Damant have to make up drama as the world doesn't know the truth and he can sell videos looking all Edgelord. Meanwhile Gen X old ladies like me just going to work ever day like thousands of other foreigners living and working here. Also a lot of guys married to Burmese ladies and have kids with them. Its a really special country like Thailand 30 years ago. But in June this year my contract ends and I will move on because its tedious living with sanctions and weird brand substitute and in out electricity etc. Come for a visit one weekend to Yangon and you will see what I mean.
Thanks for a fair update. I really loved my time there... Went to Inle lake, Mandalay, Pyin oo lwin, Yangon, even the crazy empty capital. Friendliest people. One day I'll go back.
The old PP airport runway is not long enough. New Singapore, new Soul Korea, new Taiwan, Tokyo and other big cities already built their airport about 1 hour further from their capital city for the same reasons…
@w.m.p-w8989 They're not going to fly an A380 into PP, the current airport can take Jumbo's,2 US presidents have flown into PP on Jumbo's.You can't compare PP to the airports you mentioned
