    You are not going to like me for saying this but you have more saved in the Harry Potter fund than your emergency fund. I know you are finding bits and throwing it to Harry Potter but you will get there easy by Christmas. Put the extra bits in the emergency fund for the next while to protect the money for Harry Potter going to the hubbie's dental or whatever else comes up. Emergency funds change your life. 84 pounds a month is 1,000 a year. Once buy now pay later is done, it is possible to work up to and we are only talking about growing it 60 pounds over time. You are doing great and finding bits of money here and there optimizing. You have learned so much and juggling a lot doing the hardest part with lots of moving parts. I also wonder what your kids care about most Christmas gifts or Harry Potter? It helps you to understand what they really want. I know people in the US do experiences instead of presents at Christmas. Might be an option this year to help stretch the budget.

    I was hoping you were going to make more videos! I know it sounds weird but I was thinking about you yesterday and hoped you were doing well with debt and smoking. Glad you are back 😊 awesome job on making your own savings challenges, it is so easy to see all the other channels and their binders and folders and buy them, kudos to you!! 🎉🎉

    I can see your progress! The key to being debt free is to pay on the debts consistently and not give up. Even a small amount toward a debt is forward progress. ❤

    Your doing amazing paying off what you have. It’s such a good feeling seeing the debt list get smaller & smaller. Lunch with the girls is needed as you said to keep you sane. Enjoy.🤗💐💐

    Hope you're doing well. I quit smoking 30 years ago and to this day, I can still recognize the smell of a Marlboro. Hard candies and chewing gum help get me through it. It was easier when other people didn't smoke either. You're doing great on debt payback. When we paid off ours, I would put the last bill showing 0 balance on the wall to remind us what we accomplished. Looking forward to you next video.

    I just found your channel and have really enjoyed your journey. I’d love to see how you are doing and have the bell on if you post.
    One idea - since the Harry Potter trip is near Christmas, maybe it could be considered as part of your Christmas budget. That would free up a bit more for your emergency funds. 💜

    You’re doing so well keep going . Every individual is on a different timeline and different circumstances. I’ve been debt free including house for a year now - definitely not easy but the sense of achievement is awesome. I continue to shop yellow label food and meal plan from my fridge and freezer I buy brand new clothes from charity shops at a fraction of the price cos I’ve got new habits.

    I am impressed! Quitting smoking is not easy (did it about 45 years ago) but well worth all the effort to accomplish! You are also doing so well on your budgeting and debt payoff. I wish you well.

    I'm glad you're feeling the difference with being able to roll up some of your payments to impact your payoffs. I had to do the same thing with my budget trackers. I needed one that could work with me earning and saving in 2 currencies, so in the end I just had a to adapt one to something that would work.

    You should most definitely go out with the girls. I do do on my journey. I always order the cheapest on the menu and water. Maybe a glass of wine. Girlfriends are the best for mental health, and some laughter and fun makes the whole month. I am trying to fit in 3 occations in my May budget. I have looked into the restaurants we are going to. That way I know the price of the meal and drinks. The other 2 is my turn to host at my home. 😊

    Glad you've found a debt repayment calculator, makes planning much easier. I'm going to assume you use rolling tobacco rather than cigs, if not you could save a huge amount of money while you give up. My friend was spending £12 for a pack of 20, now spends £16 on a pouch which makes 80. I used to smoke, so I understand the difficulty with it, in the meantime do it as cheaply as you can.

    • @mrsbsbudgets

      Yes iv used rolling tobacco for years now due to the cost. I'm still determined I will quit altogether. 🩵

    My son needed braces because of overcrowding but it was considered cosmetic so wasn’t going to be free despite him being 15 at the time. There was no way we could afford it privately so now he’s an adult with wonky teeth 😂

    • @mrsbsbudgets
      @mrsbsbudgets  Год назад

      Bless him lol iv got one that I think will just be cosmetic so I don't think they'll be offered braces. My daughters effects her eating, and is only just below the threshold for needing jaw surgery.
