Sure back then expert grinding was the meta but missile tower and op alone on forest was such a op grinding stat for early/midgame players. Also I know that intermediate was changed so its not the same as back then but somehow the missile spam strat still works, you just need to make little changes
Water can make such a huge difference so singularity one might not be a good nerf, + we don't need really a buff or a nerf to anything, oil rig is also THE best map of the whole entire game, you can place towers on top of the object blocking the way, and towers with huge range can be perfectly placed in the second circle, not just that but the first circle is the best circle for early game, also nobody plays blox out because it's bad, it has no water and only 2 circles with one of them tiny, research base is one of the biggest map of the game, making xwm turret and warship goats + the circles are MASSIVE, ancient sky island huh barracks got actually buffed hard, and we got armored factory, also I never seen someone using vapor city so it's better as it is, pirate cove should be buffed but not too much cuz it's one of the best maps for water towers and the circles are good, cow annoyance can't be buffed, or the strats will come back, Adding buffs will just make grinding insane, ViciouX is finding the best grinding strats and buffing a map could possibly make a 30k gold/h grind which is bad (prob for buffing pirate cove that much)
At the end im not a master at this game. And as the title says these are concept/fanmade balance changes. Yes i agree Oil rig is pretty good but if we look at the map with a casual perspective it seems a little out of its place. But i agree with you some of the things that i said i would recommend have changed. While editing this i played these maps multiple times and i might have gone a little crazy. Treasure Island map gives me PTSD of Duo-ing it with my friend in Expert, the spots do become problematic... I don't think I even had Golden Juggernaut yet there, and I had to clutch with Armored.

Oil Rig is the best Map for Warship, it should be kept Simple and Reasearch base is a map I use for Endless when Oil Rig doesn't appear so it should also be kept Simple, I think Blox out should be kept easy, however I do Agree with apocalypse because it is almost as easy as Highrise.
All of the maps you talked about dont need changes like oil rig the reason it is simple because it can fit 36 warships some maps weren't made for some towers example warship and patrol boat they cant be placed on land so most of the maps are useless to them.i could keep on typing about this but am not going to waste my time.the only one that might need a chance is siglarity
another problem: a 32k gold turret excels a 85k golden juggernaut at its 1 job 💀 edit: hear me out g jug was designed for nightmare/endless mode, but with the release of every single enemy having laser resistance it kinda fell off, meanwhile turret can not only rebuild itself but will always do 1200 DPS raw overall just use both but XWM is much better in solos due to not needing to waste slots on support but in a duo/outside of endless then g jug excels, but mainly for almost 2.5x the cost g jug is just not worth it when XWM exists (irdc what u say but just my yapping)
I agree with some of the other maps, but with Oil Rig and Treasure Cove? Yeah no. First of all you can easily solo expert in Oil Rig with just Laser Gunner and Edj (+Armored Factory if you worry about leaks) with the right strat because of the huge path curve at the enemy spawn point, it also has good placement above the buildings at the back. Oil Rig path is also long enough for you to have time to defend against fast enemy leaks unlike the Hard short path maps. Not to mention it has an entire ocean surrounding the entire map for Warship placement. Second, buffing Treasure Cove from Easy to Hard difficulty is just overboard really, its path way and placement areas for it to be considered a Hard map is pretty good and has two curve spots, one at the enemy spawn point and at the middle length of the path. It barely has any obstruction unlike the other Hard maps and you can place water based towers like Patrol Boat and Warship. So making it into a Normal map instead of a Hard map is much more balanced due to these advantages

My strongest opinion of these easy maps (Blox out, apocalypse, and singularity) These should be unchanged, It's worth it to beat on expert, since no water around the map, it's balanced. This doesen't solve anything by some reasons: Some maps are in the middle of 2 difficulties, for example: vinland Is Easy to be normal but hard to be Easy, same for vapor city, apocalypse Is hard for simple but Easy for Easy 2: Many strategies would be dead The Solution should be adding More difficulties, such as challenging (between normal and hard) or Many others

Pirate cove being an easy difficulty map always felt strange to me, like the map in my opinion is legit harder than most of the normal difficulty maps
