Steve, you’re one of the few auto reviewers who tell it like it is! One of my vehicles was purchased in part because of your review of it. Thank you and don’t change sir!!!!!!
You make a great point! Porsche has built a strong identity around its classic and timeless design, with models like the 911 serving as icons of continuity and refinement rather than drastic change. Their subtle facelifts and incremental improvements are part of what keeps them so beloved. Porsche fans appreciate the brand’s dedication to performance and design evolution without losing the essence that made them great in the first place. It’s that consistent aesthetic, combined with cutting-edge engineering, that makes them stand out. Classic, elegant, and unmistakably Porsche!
This review is critical but objective. Porsche needs to go back to the drawing board in order to catch up with the competition. Thank you Steve for your insights.
2019 Cayenne S with a 2.9 liter twin turbo V6 pushing 434 horsepower and 405 lbs ft of torque is pretty impressive to me. Acceleration times for the 2019 Cayenne S are 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds and the 1/4 mile takes just 12.8 seconds at 109 mph. Just a decade ago the 2009 Cayenne GTS with it’s 4.8 liter V8 had 405 horsepower and 369 lbs ft of torque and the Cayenne S was rated at 385 horsepower and the same 369 lbs ft of torque. The 2009 Cayenne GTS did 0-60 in 6.2 seconds and took 14.8 seconds at 94.6 mph to do the 1/4 mile. That’s a full 2 seconds slower than the new Cayenne S from 0-60 mph and in the 1/4 mile. I wonder now if Porsche will put a detuned 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 from the Cayenne Turbo in the Cayenne GTS like they did in the Panamera GTS?
Great review Steve .. Porsche should be ashamed of themselves...for the price with all that missing .. I do understand there more focused on the drive but that not acceptable at over 100k
Hi Steve. Have to say I disagree with you on the Cayenne S! I own a 2019 S model and came from a Mercedes GLE and can tell you that the Cayenne is a superior car in every regard! Listen, you might not like the price and you might feel Porsche try's to fleece you with the crazy price of all the options but it's better not to think of this car at it's base price and know after you get done with options it's going to be more like 110-115 grand! I have never driven a car/SUV whatever you call this thing that drives and accelerates and handles the way this car does!! Mercedes and BMW make nice luxurious SUV's but a Porsche is in another league in my opinion because of the handling and performance! Expensive yes but worth the price of admission!
Driving Cayenne base 2019, compare to 2016 which I had it for 3 years(I lease), it is phenomenal. I am addicted to drive it every day. Cayenne speaks a different language. Show me something similar with less price I will get it but does not exist. I have been with MB for 16 years and 4 years with Porsche, unfortunately(love MB people) I have to move to Porsche for my 2nd car too. Which SUV can handle the corners the way Cayenne does? My ML was scary on ramp, I do 90 degree all corners with my Cayenne. Cayenne is King of corners.
@@raynejad2188Hi ! Do you still own the Cayenne/how many miles you've driven it ? Would you consider it reliable -worth the maintanance cost? Thanks !!
@@georgepotcovaru2595 I am driving my third Cayenne which is one month old. The 1st was a 2016, had it for 3 years, replaced with a 2019, had it for 5 years, lost it in an accident, ride off, nothing happened to me, I was not at fault, replaced it with the 3rd one. I have 8 years daily drive with it. The best you can get out there. I have Levante, and I am considering Urus. I will keep the Cayenne for sure. I can't replace it with Levante and Urus. It is a must to have for me. No concerns to put miles on it or even maintenance fees. Ridiculously low even at dealership. If you are a one SUV only person, that is it! It last 10 years at least with almost zero hassel.

That's great to hear! Make my work feel worthwhile. Thank you.
I agree with what Steve said. It doesn’t really seem like this new Cayenne raises the bar in any way.

My pleasure!
This is why your review are so awesome! Direct, honest, and to-the-point! Well done Steve!
Steve still has some of the best car reviews on youtube.
Appreciate it, Stuart!
Steve, Steve, Steve, we get and appreciate all the eloquent intelligence laced throughout! It's a rare gift to us viewers.
I really appreciate that...thank you!
Oh my the exhaust note❤️❤️❤️
Priced at $100,000+ and no basic luxury amenities. Unacceptable. Endless money pit straight from the stealership.
Mateen S Who cares, when money is no object.
Mateen S. well said, well said
They are actually fairly reliable overall, i would agree it's pricey for the features though
Does the term broken record mean anything to you? Geez.

Excellent review Steve. Will you be reviewing the Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring?
Thanks. I'm waiting to hear back from Lincoln. Hopefully this fall.
Great video Steve, I love the new design language of Porsche! Keep up the great work!
Love the "rythm" of your videos, of your writing. Great one Steve. Thanks.
Great review! No way that spec looks like it reaches 6 figures - hopefully the Cayenne Coupé will bring more value in a better package.
Excellent presentation, thank you.
Thanks for watching.
Again Steve, the hammer has been laid!

Cayenne S (Sport Chrono) = 4.6 seconds @ $103,000 as-tested. GLE 63 = 4.2 seconds @ $103,000 base (loaded)
Excellent review!
Great review
Thanks!
Sounds like Steve would take the Palisade over the Cayenne. I'd like to see Steve review the cayenne coupe turbo or GTS.

Great points Steve.
I’ve always liked the Cayenne but have to agree, at this time there are other SUVs that do it better. This is simply too expensive.
Fully agree with you... What a beauty... Regards 🇶🇦
I love Porsches!

First! Always great reviews.
Nice! Thanks!
It's a shame you Americans don't get the Audi RS4 with a more potent version of that 2.9 V6 which I find much more desirable than the Cayenne.
At least the RS6 Avant is finally coming this way.
I will say a slightly used one makes this car a great buy but new this is absurd
Don't like those boring wheels either.
Hard pass. I would rather have a model 3 and a F150 for the same price. Smh
