Thanks for watching guys!! I actually returned here this past year and spent a month living in a truck and fishing in Lake Havasu. Just released a movie about it if you wanna see more of this area:ruclips.net/video/rv4Fws_-b7Y/видео.html
Hey! I’m going here for my 21st birthday next weekend and plan on fishing a ton when I get there for a few days. Do you have any recommendations on any lures or rigs I could use to get some bites?
For sure! I fished a bunch there last spring and by far the most effective lure I used was a Ned rig with a finesse trd in the coppertreuse color. Jigs and wacky worms also worked well for me. Good luck!!
Goin to Havasu in 2 weeks my brother and dad and I are hiring a guide for a day but will prolly shore fish day before.. ran across your video.. nice one.... I am excited
I love Havasu. But there’s two types of people the ones on the shore fishing and stuff and the boaters. The boating is the fun part. In the summer it is packed and it’s just so fun😂that’s all I can say
If you want better luck with ned rig (or any jig really) try a faster action rod and maybe try braid to leader. The extra sensitivity from the faster action combined with the zero stretch properties of the braid allow you to detect bites earlier and pin those bass right in the snout. No other single change has improved my hookup ratio on a given technique the way this has. I run braid to fluoro for jigs and dropshot for this reason. My straight mono or fluoro and slower action rods are reserved for treble hooked lures. I also always run chatterbaits on more flexible rigs.
From your 433 subscriber. I am actually having a fishing tournament at Havasu tomorrow and I was looking for a video on Havasu. Looks like I found the video!
Nice video, love fishing in the channel next to the London bridge in Havasu especially when it’s empty with little to no boats around. Because waters are absolutely loaded with huge bass & carp. But anyways, never fished next or directly under the bridge though.
Next time if you have an extra pole throw a piece of hotdog on a hook and cast it out deep. The begining of the channel that opens up to the lake has some huge catfish.
The problem is my dude is you are fishing the ned rig too aggressive. You don't need a hookset. Just lean into the fish. When you set the hook like that (other than breaking off when using light line) you put a larger hole in the fish's mouth. Then they can shake the hook. Lastly I can't tell but you need a medium action or even slow action rod. Not a fast action rod with too much backbone.
People need to learn to mind their own business when am fishing I don't feel like hearing people's mouths every fish he caught got like 2 mouths running like shut up and mind your own business

Better not lose a lure I’ll be pretty pissed if I get hooked in the foot 😂
I disliked for you laying your reel in the sand
