D-lo is too inconsistent to be a Laker - swap for Trae and some picks and get serious about a championship. Trae can fill the non-Lebron, non-AD minutes by himself - no one else on the current Laker crew can do that, which allows elite teams like Denver to exploit this weakness.

Lakers not getting a big was an EPIC fail on the front offices part. We knew we'd be facing the nuggets and yet we did absolutely nothing about it. That was our biggest weakness, not having an extra big body to guard jokic. You really think you can beat Denver with nothing but guards? CTFO. And Dlo gonna get only another small contract after this stinker. He really sucks when the pressure gets high.
Lakers bringing DLO back after he choked the season before was also an epic fail! Should have brought in a big and another PG! DLO can’t play under pressure and he never has been able to.

@@MsCamicam it's kind of crazy because you would think that playing a sport, even during just the regular season, in front of 10s of thousands of people and on television was already enough pressure as it is and that the playoffs would only bring a marginal increase in pressure. His drop off in performance in the playoffs seems disproportionate when compared to the marginal increased pressure between the playoffs and the regular season .. i find it totally perplexing to be honest. I just don't understand this phenomenon at all. I can see a player getting worse in the playoffs by a little bit, but to start airballing 10 foot shots and going scoreless just shows that something is extremely getting into his head about the playoffs. If he's this psychologically fragile i don't understand how he ever even performed well during the regular season ....

I do the same every time the team I support (regardless of the sport) had a game. I did not want to go through heartbreaks anymore. If the team wins, I get excited and watch the highlights. Otherwise, I don't bother!

Reaves on MPJ is like target practice. I watched regular season game against denver when Reaves was on him and he hit every shot. Lakers might actually have a good team but with darvin ham, they won't actualize their potentialities. They've shown glimpses and we've all seen it. Clearly, the coach is incompetent and it shows in so many ways.
Here's how you'll know it's the coach. Lakers beat denver every time until their coach makes an adjustment. The reason their adjustment works is because ham is a 1 trick pony. If you are beating a team and they make an adjustment, you can still beat them if you make a proper adjustment to counter. It's not like their adjustment involves introducing a new team, it's still the same guys you were beating in the first half.

I stopped watching live laker games a while ago. My mental state is soooo much better because of it. They don’t deserve that type of attention anymore.
I didn't watch a lot of games this season because of that. I watched 60% of game 1 and all of game 2. That was enough for me. I had a great mental night last night hanging out with my girl. I just laughed when I saw the score before I went to bed. Looked at the quarter scoring and pretty much told the same story in this matchup. 11 straight losses losing the same way every time. Pathetic.

A LOT of you fell for tradeline Dlo and you called people like me and others who wanted him gone naysayers. This man dropped 0 points tonight and was disinterested the entire game. Where are all you dlo fans at now?? Dlo's production drops in the playoffs. The numbers show this but some of you are to "in the moment." Lakers got out hustled (mainly on the boards) tonight and they looked deflated after the 1st quarter. Denver locked down defensively and they never looked back. Changes are necessary after this season.
I usually defend DLo. But he didn't try in this game. Maybe he hasn't slept well over the last few days. He seemed lethargic. His shots were short in the first quarter. Team morale was obviously low before the game. It's time to rebuild. There's no changes in the summer that could make this team contenders.

Bron and AD are still the best NBA duo and are playing great. Trade DLo and Reeves for Dejaunte and a big to play alongside AD at the 4 and we get out the West and compete for the chip.

Everyone's blaming the players. It's the coach. Just watch the game. Denvers coach is on the sideline making adjustments, getting players open looks, pulling players to the side, giving them advice. The Lakers are standing around frustrated, not in the right position. They started surrounding AD in the paint. Any decent coach should be able to recognize this and draw up some plays to find the open man. Denver did it all night. Especially with Gordon. easy dunks and layups. The Joker and Murray didn't even have big games. Coaching matters in the playoffs. You have to be able to make adjustments. Denver has done it every game, and the Lakers can never match their adjustments.

This is a matchup problem. Also Malone makes the same adjustment every game after a t/o in the 2ndQ on both sides. Ham has yet to adjust. As a player when you see something & point it out then the coach just tells you "just stick w/it' it kills the flow. Ham talks about the next play when the next play is the same play that's been figured out.
Gordon drops 20+ roaming the baseline while Lebron is more worried about Jokic, Murray, Porter and KCP

Aaron Gordon is the difference maker. Without him on the Nuggets, the Lakers will win this series. Also, I'll take Aaron Gordon over Rui in a heartbeat. Gordon can play with superstars and still thrive and be extremely productive. Rui can't do that playing alongside two superstars.

I hate this notion that we shouldn’t blame Dlo. I put 40% on him. The month of December after the IST he was awful and was sent to the bench because he wasn’t doing his job. So we went on a crazy losing streak. Then from January to April he averages 20 and we start winning. We need to admit it if Dlo is not scoring 20 plus we don’t have a chance. I think it’s time to move on from him. Two years in a row in the playoffs. I give Darvin the other 50% . He is a terrible voice in the locker room and I think we need someone new. Retool the roster and let’s get back to the finals next year.
