There are two S sounds in Hebrew, the Shin/Sin letter and the Samech. I would think that Sanusi is written with the Samech. Therefore, the word or name Sanusi would be spelled: Samech, Nun, Vav, Samech, Yud. You can find these letters in this series. Bear in mind that there are no vowels as such in Hebrew, all the letters are consonants.
