@@SOLIDPEDINI Yeah, for sure. I wouldn't even say it touches on it. It's one of main themes in the game, and some of those side stories really stress the atrocities that happen when you won't treat your fellow man as equals. The story and characters are the main reason I loved the game.
Great video, really interesting concept for a series. As a PC gamer I'm pretty much stuck in a digital world, but I do wonder if it would be worth picking up a console again to futureproof my absolute favorite games.
Thanks a ton for watching! I've been wanting to do the series for awhile. I was doing this on my own for years without making videos. Haha. It was just something I did to help decide what I was going to keep in my physical collection. I figured other people might enjoy it too. There are so many games that work well without needing internet still... but I've run into some that are completely broken without internet. You might as well not even touch a physical copy. Haha.
Also, considering most people are PC gamers, the series could help you build a physical collection of games you know work... even if you don't have a console.
For me the gameplay got so boring by half way through. I was born in 76 and grew up with games: I went digital in like 2011. What are you people doing? Hate to break it to you: nothing is future proof and things change, period. Let it go.
What are we doing? Having fun. Collecting physical games is fun. I'm trying to figure out how people with your perspective don't see thats what people are doing. If its not for you, no worries. But there is nothing to let go. Nobody is denying digital gaming is the bulk of the hobby now. But that doesn't mean there isn't a market for people who like having the physical versions. Nothing is truly futurproof... ourselves, the world, gaming, whatever... thats not what being futurproof is. You can "futureproof" a PC by buying big hard drives, and top of the line monitors, right? Will they be out of date eventually? Yes. But futureproofing is about maximizing lifetime potential. Not operating under the delusion that something is eternal. You might not play physical games, but MANY people still enjoy them. That's probably what needs to be "let go". As far as FF16, that's a common complaint. A lot of people got a little bored with the gameplay. So that's understandable. It's not for everyone. But I personally love it.
I thought the game was incredible. Extremely deep convo system great story and touches on a subject very few games openly discuss. Slavery..
