Most people in Japan use 5BB. I heard that there are many graft failures other than 5BB. It seems that 5BB is used to increase the success rate of grafting.
@@hinode_farm ok. thank you for your answer. I've heard that the shine muscat variety tree seeds are not allowed to be sold overseas. then how in Korea there are varieties of shine muscat and other Japanese grape varieties can grow there?? is there any other way to bring shine muscat tree seeds outside of Japan??
I think that exporting overseas is prohibited by Japanese law. It is reported in Japan that Shine Muscat cultivated in Korea and China has been stolen from Japan. Even in Japan, only a limited number of seedling companies are allowed to sell seedlings. Self-propagation is allowed, but depending on the variety, self-propagation is also prohibited by law. I think it would be difficult to bring it outside of Japan.
what rootstock variety do you use?
Thanks for your comment.
This time I am grafting onto Kyoho grapes.
I think the rootstock of Kyoho grape is Teleki 5BB.
@@hinode_farm I noticed a lot of people using 5BB in Japan??? is there any other choice besides these varieties???
