  • In this video, I try out Affinity Photo 2 for the first time. I have owned the software for years as a back-up for Photoshop but I thought now is the time to see what it can and cannot do.

Fun fact: adjustments are none destructive, so you can go back anytime to redo stuff without loosing your work. AND the adjustments are masks so you can paint sertain areas of an adjustment if you didn't want to use it elsewhere.
Great work. It's always hard to start a new. 😊 (goodluck on the rest of the journey)

Thank so much for the info! It is nice to know that Affinity works non-destructively! And thanks for the well wishes on learning the new software.

Hopefully you've found the "Inpainting Brush Tool". That's what you wanted for most of the touch up. Actually does some/limited generative fill, albeit nothing like Adobe's. Still, much easier and better results than the clone tool. Thanks for the video ... looking forward to more.

Thanks for the tip on the "Inpainting Brush Tool"!!! I had not used that before. It is like the Spot Healing Brush in Photoshop. With tools like that I tend to use them first. If it works it saves me time. But sometimes I just can't get them to work and have to take the slow route with tools like the Clone Tool. Again thanks for tip!! And I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
