I love hyunsuk but looking back at this episode, i realized yang hyunsuk was right. Junghwan was basically a beginner but his potential was too high that he didn't look like beginner when he danced with hyunsuk. He wasn't left behind in their performance and that's incredible.
for the dance battle between Hyunsuk and Junghwan, I can see why YG picked Junghwan. firstly, he probably felt that Hyunsuk should have gone with his main strength and picked a rap battle, instead it looked like he took "the easy way out" since everyone felt Junghwan would be the easiest to beat and that's not the kind of mentality YG wants in his artists. Secondly, since it's a dance battle and these guys are still trainees, YG is looking for potential, how much more can they grow? From that pov, Junghwan definitely has more room to get better and better (and he has!) versus Hyunsuk and is already relatively good despite the lack of training.
Maybe YG chose Junghwan over Hyunsuk because he wants Hyunsuk to compete in rap battle but he chose a dance battle with Junghwan. Maybe YG wants to focus on his main role (rapper) as a trainee. Now, Hyunsuk is a great rapper and Junghwan is a great dancer of Treasure💙
A lot of watcher somehow is shock with the result between Junghwan and Hyunsuk. I was also when i first watch it but I get what YG was saying. Between the two he is looking for the potential Dancer of the Group and although Hyunsuk is really good but Hyunsuk is a Rapper that is his official Position and strength and YG knows that. That's why I think YG chooses Junghwan over Hyunsuk. I was actually shock why he choose Dance bcoz I thought he would go for Rap. But anyway I'm really glad that they both debuted and Hyunsuk has become a parent figure to Junghwan. They have a very close Hyung and Dongsaeng rel now.
