Great video and you comments and why you chose what you did to upgrade was really useful and helped me understand the limits and consequences of too much weight and servo load. Thank you
What a great video and crawling spot. You definitely made that thing look beyond impressive. Every single line was challenging and it took it with ease. Bad ass!
My personal testing verified to me your for sure on track with everything you've said especially about putting on every brass and big tires. One thing I see watch mine climb I see the front end unloading even with your weight there is still signs of it still. I moved the rear shocks to a vertical position and added one 9/16 thick washers that I picked up at Lowe's for under $2.00 . No it absolutely can not make up for hard tires but the rear shocks really help unloading. Guys will burn up motors due to too excess weight mark my words on that one. But a trx4m transmission is dang near identical and u can bolt in any of the numerous options available
Ordered mine yesterday with inner/outer brass portal covers & some gold aluminum diff covers. I saw that Cape Crawlers threw a bunch of brass on and the servo quickly gave up the ghost. I'll follow your advice and keep weight to a minimum.
The WL toys 1/24 drift car has tiny 2s... I'm getting ready to run two of them in parallel and put one on each slider... Just trying to move the battery forward and down, and split in half...
I was going to move the ESC to the front, then I thought about it. The weight of the ESC is next to northing. I would rather add a battery in the front or just some weight on the front platform.

Thanks man, It’s an amazing little truck!
That's a lot of good advice. The wheels and tires look amazing.
Wow, that was impressive! Just a couple upgrades made that little rig a monster. Great vid!
All I did was outer portals on all 4s brass wheels and a reefs 99 servo and it handles real well
Yeah man, didn’t need much to be great

It is because 98% of metal gear servos use brass & it is weak & soft. That is why high end servos use stainless steel gears instead like REEFS use.
Yep, lighter is always better assuming the balance and cg is good.

It’s tough to fit a battery up front. Only 25mm between rails. Put my battery and esc on sliders , removed battery tray and it works great
Nice video and I like your feed back, subscribd
Awesome, thank you!
Just 'subbed'...good stuff. What wheels did you purchase?
Thanks man! Here you go
INJORA Black Coating Brass 1.0... www.amazon.com/dp/B0C8T2SQLR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Also what weight RedCat brass portals did you use the 40g or the 70g?
I used the rer30175. It doesn’t list the weight and I can’t remember exactly what they weighed.
Where u get them tires from and what hexes I need
Amazon. It’s a 7mm hex. Search Injora 1.0 beadlock. These came as a set, brass wheels and tires.
What bass u have on the parts u have on truck
Only wheels and front portal covers.
Moved battery and esc to sliders and removed battery tray.
