@@tube3900 funny thing is, I began editing when I had to get the first new screw driver, and I titled the project file (quite presumptively) "Fixing my GH5S" 😭
Thats a shame. Seems like somethings wrong with the main board causing it to mechanically seize. Would also explain the display glitching out 4k Recording should be limited to very short recording sessions in general is my advice :)
@@itz_lexiii_ yeah I shoulda known better than to record a high codec continuously in direct sunlight 😭 buuuuuuut in my defense, i had been using Lumix cameras for many years and hadn't gotten an overheat, and hadn't heard that overheats were common (still stupid move)
@@ANT1_chad Its an easy mistake to make. My a6300 starts to overheat when I'm shooting stills if its a sunny day. I wish they made more white-painted bodies like the a6000 or ZVE-10 for high-end cameras as (quite obviously) a white camera body will soak up less sun than a black body would. A couple tricks you can do to help reduce overheating on sunny days; 1: Unfold/flip out the view monitor. The view monitor is actually one of the largest producers of heat 2: Use external batteries or dummy batteries and remove the grip battery. 3: Only use 4k for short, cinematic scenes and 1080p for longer shots 4: Open all memory card/battery doors
