I miss from 2000-2004 the Dollar Store used to have old 50's TV Shows like Andy Griffith, Mash , Gillian's Island, Abbot & Castillo, I Love Lucy, Bonanza, Gun Smoke , Deep Sea Diver , Dike Van Dyke.

Good video, Shawn. it's nice to see Dollar Tree getting in new movies since they have had the same ones for so long. Sleepy Hollow High is a low-budget independent movie that I've always liked. It's not a good movie by any means, but I think you will appreciate it.

The Twilight Zone is a great show , totally worth the money .
I found the purge election year on blu ray and the boyhood on blu ray then soothe various dvds. It is so hit and miss.
I remember "Queer Duck: The Movie". It was building on the "Queer Duck" Flash cartoon series that ran on Showtime's web site in the early 2000s, written and directed by Mike Reiss and Xeth Feinberg. Queer Duck himself was played by Jim J. Bullock

Dammit Coolduder you made a mess of a mess! LOL! Such a big selection though. When I went into my local Poundland (UK) the other day all they had was about 5 movies and those where the same movies they had out since 2019,it's just tragic lol.
There used to be around five stores in my city where I bought DVDs from but unfortunately they have dwindled down to two stores which are a supermarket and a discount shop. The cheapest I have paid for some of my DVDs is $2 each so I'm not complaining about that. The discount shop sells DVDs for $5 which is still a cheap buy too.👍💿

This wave was good if you got movies. Race for Your life was OOP for eons and I had on VHS, but it's everywhere now. I got the Elvis Costello, Star Trek Beyond on Blu, Benji's XMAS Blu and Rugrats 2 feature to replace ruined VHS.

As a long time "Peanuts" fan, it's very surprising to see "Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown" and "Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back)" at "Dollar Tree". I already owned the VHS, DVD and now, Blu-ray with a Digital Code. But it's amazing find for a double feature at $1.25! It would have been excellent if other "Peanuts" specials were available there! I also gotta checked my Dollar Tree location if they have "Men at Work" and a few other MGM reissues titles that I don't have yet (I have plenty so far) and some Blu-rays of Paramount, Universal and other rare titles around.

I think DTrain was a great movie. It was unusual, but I recommend it. It's NOT a comedy.

Fun video. Forgive me if you’ve already covered this in previous videos, but have you had much discussion about how a DVD ends up in the bargain barn? I have found Quentin Tarintino DVDs in the dollar bin, Coen brothers, really incredible documentaries that are worthy of the criterion collection, and lots of classic old Hollywood films.
I know part of it is that they over produce these and these are just leftovers, remainders just as they have in the book industry and CDs of course. But I find mine boggling is when I go to a dollar tree in a very small border town in Arizona I will find 10 copies of the same Wes Anderson film. How did it end up all the way down to the small store, especially in a town that is 80% Spanish-speaking. I just don’t quite understand how these DVDs end up where they do. Obviously as time goes on with Netflix and all, DVDs will be going the same way as the VHS tape and the Betamax tape.
From an economic standpoint the DVDs I’m sure cost at least $.35 to make and numerous times of trucking shipping and the labor it takes to open cases and put them on the shelf and the fact that at least half of what they get end up in the garbage or being donated to a big thrift store somewhere. Clearly the distributors in the studios do not want these DVDs back, who knows maybe they end up in the Philippines or some Latin American city where they were sold on the street and certainly of greater value than $1.25 US because they are official studio release and not cheap pirated copies.
Please direct me to one of your videos if you’ve already discussed this. Again, it’s just amazing what we end up finding at the dollar tree. Years ago at a $.99 only store I found the VHS tape of “a mighty wind“ which is a Christopher Guest fake documentary. They had about 200 copies and they were selling them three for a dollar. I bought most of them with the intention of building a wall in a café or a cinema with them. It makes a statement, loud and clear, about where some brilliant independent films end up…
If your like me and mostly buy these with digital copies....stay away from the echo bridge titles. Not digital. They are downloads and they suck
