It's still a 100k cheaper and comes with most electronic gadgets like heated seat power adjustable seats and alcantara leather as standard but on huracan you'll have to option them as literally 10 grand add ons so you can't just say nsx is a worse car than huracan.
I'm lucky enough to have a close friend with a 2018 NSX (modified to 630hp) and he let me drive it unsupervised! It's absolutely amazing in every category; especially acceleration!
Something to consider, Acura will honor the warranty no questions asked! my 17 NSX had a major engine problem and they fixed it, provided a temp car for me to get around and cover the entire 60k bill

I was lucky enough to be invited by Acura to test this car at the Honda Proving Center in the Mojave. There are many, many unshared technological advancements that will leave you in awe and make you appreciate the car that much more. The reason there's no convertible? Honda/Acura didn't want to compromise visibility with a thick A pillar, typical to most modern supercars for rollover safety (look at the interior of a Huracan, for example). They spent over a million dollars alone developing a frame/alloy that would allow for a thin A pillar yet also provide rollover safety. A convertible top would compromise that, thus the tradeoff. If people knew more about the astounding details of this car, they wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it. It's easy to keep scrolling when you're sitting behind a computer.

I think Acura needs to take a page out of the Corvettes playbook. Base NSX(just engine/no turbos/no electric motors), RWD only. NSX R-Type(increased HP/ Twin-Turbo/RWD only), NSX Type-R(more HP/Twin-Turbo/electric motors/AWD), This way they could have a base-mid-top tier options and set price accordingly. The current price tag is for some reason holding it back from being popular, though it's a good car.
Honda/Acura must change their interiors and infotainment systems. I am an owner of only Honda cars and scooters but the interior trims and features must be updated and upgraded.
This is the perfect car for a nice spring drive, Chicago's Greatest Hits pumping thru the ergonomic cockpit. Hit the Starbucks drivethru for a Venti Pikes Place Roast, assuming the cupholder is commodious enough to accommodate a cyclopean coffee, before breaking some traffic laws. I friggin love this thing man 9.12/10

Absolutely beautiful. That said, I still feel supercar and automatic transmission do not belong in the same sentence. Partly for that reason, I think I’m going to have to keep my ‘17 Accord EX 6-spd manual (the other part being cost ;-).
@Nazi RUclips It's a perspective thing. Understandly modern automatics are generally faster than manuals but probably not enough to be perceptible - unless you're actually racing. For most, myself included, the sports car experience prioritizes driver involvement over comfort and convenience. I would guess age is a big factor as well. I'm 45 now and still strongly prefer full control over the gearbox. In another 20 years, I may feel differently.
The NSX has an engine solely for NSX and is not shared with other Acura or Honda lines. It also collaborates with HONDA/COSWORTH engine (Inspired f1 engine).
Honda is the best motoring brand in the world, at least when it comes to sports. For example, Dakar, Formula 1, Moto gp, etc. These are all top disciplines, and Honda in all belongs to the top, if not the best. No one else can match it
Thanks Steve. Honda really needs a "Supra-level" car with this tech, even if it is a 2+2 and not as low slung. Sure, the TSX A-Spec is nice, but not a sports car. First Gen is still my favorite. #NeedForSpeed. One thing is, I wish it did a better job at #savethemanuals.
I do love mine! I love my ceramics! I do hate my rattles! The interior needs a refresh and the car needs another 75HP. Interior storage is laughable. .

@@jameswillard1 there is a common rattle in the carbon coal that's and easy fix. There is one in the airbag that's keeps coming back and I have a few in the door. Most cars done seem to have as many as mine.
I have only seen 2 NSX’s on the roads in the North East since 2017. One of which was an S version. But for the price, not enough creature comforts inside even compared to soccer mom MDX SUVs. I’m sure the driving characteristics are great but at that price, buyers have expectations given that there is a huge expense down the road not priced in (battery replacement).
It's a good looking car, but Honda Australia put a price tag on it here that ensured it wouldn't sell. Oddly enough, there are three Pagani Huayras in Sydney, and I've spotted one of them, but I've never seen a (new) NSX on the road.

The R8 V10 Plus has been clocked at 2.9 to 60 and has a top speed of 207, so no, this does not blow anything off of it. The R8 also has one of the most sonorous engines ever built, while this sounds like a blender. I think that, combined with an interior that looks out of a $50K car, is why they don't sell. If you want a practical every day car with super car performance, you buy a 911 Turbo. If you want an exotic, you buy something with an exotic badge, and an exotic interior. The C8 shows what could've been done if Acura hadn't been so focused on stuffing it full of tech. The upcoming Z06 will likely outperform it, and you could buy two of them for the same money.
It's lovely but it's a Starbucks queen. There's a number of videos of it on the track and the car suffers when pushed to 10/10. Respectfully, most people buying this car aren't going to push it to 10/10.
My uncle bought a red one in October 2016, I was shocked with the car, at that time I already got in a huracán, R8, Porsche 911 turbo S and GT3RS, Ferrari 488, AMG GT, etc, and the looks of the NSX shocked me it was such a beautiful car, we took it for a drive and everyone was looking at it and most of the people didn’t know what it was, specially because in 2016 there is very few people that had one at that moment, I loved that car but it wasn’t perfect, sure the engine sounds good but not good enough for a super car, the key is almost the same one you have in any Honda, the paddle shifters feel a little low quality that’s a problem with other premium brands but whatever 🤷🏻♂️, the software of the screen feels a little laggy but if you buy this car is to drive it so I don’t really care about that, but there is some things that Acura could do better to make this car almost perfect, but the sound of the R8 and huracán is way better, but I would take the NSX over any of the car I mentioned 😅
How much weight can Honda get rid of if they ditched all their electric motors & hybrid crap, that junky V6 with turbo bolted on 🙄 & built a lightweight powerful, mean sounding V10 engine? Something much better than the Yamaha/Toyota built engine in the LFA & maybe get rid of their SH-AWD system & make the NSX RWD? Yeah. They should simplify it. Lose frivolous tech and lower price by 30-40%. Make it a true bare bones sports car. More like the 90s NSX.
