Great haul and loved the reading update. I live in SC (right near the NC border) and I've been to Charleston a few times and enjoy walking along rhe battery.
@bethanybringsbooks yes, there's a lot to see and do! I've not really done a whole lot. I've mostly gone for Yallfest (a YA book festival held there every November) but I've been to the USS Yorktown a few times and the Angel Oak and walked out to the old lighthouse.
Wow, a tea plantation in South Carolina! That's so cool. I had no idea there was one anywhere in North America. The peony tea sounds interesting. It would be so interesting to read one of the slave memoirs back to back with the diary of the confederate wife. Talk about different perspectives! My sister just gave me a copy of The Portrait of Emily Price. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it when you've finished it so i know whether to bump it up my TBR or not. 😂 And I'm enjoying the Mansfield Park buddy read!! I'm really loving it on this reread, even though we're not super far yet. It's better than i remember.
Such a delightful glimpse into Charleston! Your reading update was a lovely touch. Can't wait for more adventures! 📚✨

Oh cool! I live in NC. I hope to go back to Charleston when I can spend more time there.

I love Kit! She was one of the best American Girls.
She was fun! I’m enjoying rereading them.
The last time I was in Charleston it was super rainy! Charleston is actually notorious for flooding
That’s what I heard while we were down there.

That would be interesting to simultaneously read those two. I hadn’t thought of that!
I’m enjoying Emily price - it’s slower paced but I like learning more about the Italian culture.
I love Jan Brett!! I didn't know she did a Beauty and the Beast book!!
It’s so pretty!
Those chocolate eggs are really cool
