I’m 55 and grew up watching thunderbirds . My kids got to love them too via dvds.I cannot put into words how this show shaped my love for models and sci fi in general. Timeless magic
Me tooo!!! 55 and grew up with the Thunderbirds 🤓😎
70 here I loved them all. Supercar, Fireball XL5, Space Patrol, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlett. Thanks Gerry Anderson.
35 watched everyrhing but never liked scifi😂 dont like stars wars etc 😂
64 same
Timeless is right, because Thunderbirds has aged so well where so many other scifi programs look ludicrous now.
F A B means Fully Acknowledged Broadcast after watching a expert on everything Thunderbirds
My schoolfriend was named Michael Read his older brother is John Read was Director of Photography for Thunderbirds
I got to see actual things things related to the show.
I had a great childhood growing up locally where it was made in Hampton.
Watched this program every Saturday morning. Sat on the kitchen floor with my sister and dog. My mother could clear up the table after breakfast without interruptions.
CHEERS from AUSTRALIA (65 and grew up with these)
The first movie i went to see ,1967 i think with my dear old dad....
This is one of the actual cinema theatrical feature length films that people mis-remember as tv episodes, then get confused as its not included in the usual series run 😂
I'm 66, my favourite of all time. F*A*B.😊
1:05 😂😂 ~~~ that's some gnarly landing gear on that rig coming out of the hanger. 🎉
the greatest tv show ever made. every young boy anted to be one of the tracy family.
I loved the thunderbirds TV series and tried to watch them all, my dad would usually get home from work and sit and watch some of them with me so I have very warm memories of thunderbirds. I dont know if anyone else noticed but there were no strings attached in this movie.
The acting was rather wooden and the females all came with strings attached ... at least the bachelors were well hung 😂
😅😅
Their Italian agent was named Pinnochio
These people showed how joifully you can play with dolls and created masterpiece in that time ❤
When your grown up and think about how hard it was to make such movies back then. Frame by frame. Its pretty good production. They didnt had high frame cameras back then like we have now. To make such stuff its awsome. Have seen it all loved it
This space project is what proto Bond villain, Elon Musk, aspires to.
😂
I wonder what they did with all of the models they made for all of those episodes? Undoubtedly theres an attic or basement somewhere where they've all but been forgotten.
most of them were chucked in a skip at the end of filming. It was criminal how much was simply destroyed in this way.
@@TsiolkovskySportingLocks cant believe they'd be short sighted enough about their possible future value to simply boot them into a skip. Wow.
The only puppet that was kept was the puppet of Lady Penelope... Gerry Anderson kept it.
If Brains's glasses were any bigger he might have just as well have worn an electron microscope. :D
Jetex engines are go. That was a 4 tablet take off.
Wow that brings back memories..I had a jetix plane once.❤
The space station needs you now.
FAB.
But which Thunderbird to use?

This show dates from the 1960's, but I still love it.
Another British classic!
RIP PARKER
This is more realistic than NASA and Space X.
Isn't it called SpaceTwitter now? ... or have I misunderstood?
Great viewing! Brings back many happy memories of my childhood
Never seen this film before… superb! The X-Zero crash sequence was amazing, even by Ray Meddings’ standards, there was a lot of petrol used there!
They had some strange ideas about the surface of Mars. Although this was mad in 1966 before the Viking lander missions.
Why mad? The just guessed!
Zero x just goes to show anything will fly if you have enough engines
Yes, even a grand piano. :D
Lady Penelope talks just like the Queen.
No, the queen talked just like lady penelope 😂
That's Lady Penelope for you.
Cliff Richard and the Shadows.
CHEERS from AUSTRALIA
Wtf sounds gone
The Swinging Star looks like the dullest nightclub ever 🤣
The song was good.
Sound stops at 5:44!
I'm wondering, is this RUclips muting copyrighted music, maybe?
mu(tila)ting is done by the uploader, otherwise the video will be completely removed by RUclips, because of ......... copyrightBS indeed.
@7:20 sound's back.
Seems to be the only 1½minute the sound is cut out, though.
Must be some copyrightBS over the intromusic.
The rest of the movie is complete and free to watch.
Glad I persisted watching.

Leave me out of this please, my initials (BSl may be unfortunate but I am not entirely to blame for that... (Well, okay, I kept my ex's surname, but there were good reasons for that!!)
@@brigidsingleton1596 if you get RUclips to allow people to express their opinion in normal words, I will stop using that abbreviation.
This film very dynamic at thd time. Research was done well when Zero X designed. Storyboard reusable spacecraft parts which would be all parts the Main body Lifting bodys even the MEV just like Nasa reusable parts after service to make ready so its like real only part that isnt would be the nose cone but when its attached its bit silly😮 looking theres no windows to see out it so they must use electronic cams to view outside like a display
Great memories of being a kid.. But, if this was today, people would complain about the noise of these aircraft, and the use of fossil fuels destroying the environment with their emissions…& why there are no women holding senior positions alongside the men.. 😏
Great series though, it was boys own stuff watching as a kid
Couldn't agree more.....
Parker was the best 👌
Excellent!..
hope you can do more thanks👍🇬🇧👊
RIP Parker
Perfect thanks 😅
I wonder if the Cliff Richard reference towards the end of this refers to the real one. He would have been known at this time.
Cliff and The Shadows appear in nightclub. Dire Straits track 'Calling Elvis' has a video showing Thunderbird vehicles and Jeff Tracy along with a Mark Knopfler puppet, worth a watch.
Farkin absolutely beautiful
God I’ve become cynical in my old age. I thought Thunderbirds were so cool when I watched it as a kid but watching this vid, my first thought was ‘why the hell is the main body building moving? when a moment later the main body rolls forward for the wings to be attached.
Your wondering why as an adult m8, when you wonder as a kid it's totally different bro, secret to a young mind is a young outlook m8, get stoned and watch it again, heaps better lol
Good advice bro@@davidmcguren3225
Zero X? E. Musk again?😤
No, no, of course not.
ZeroX has nothing to do with SpaceX.
That's completely coincidental.
(😂😂😂)
We could laugh if Musk named SpaceX after seeing this film.
17:20 😊 nearly "Frank Lloyd Wright" 🎉 in quality of fX architecture. Bravo
sound cuts out
I believe there are rights issues on a couple of the musical pieces.
what happened to audio😢😢😢
Copyrighted music, I suspect.
What does FAB mean?
It was a 60's word that the 'in crowd' used - and so they decided to use it in the THUNDERBIRDS - HA - just a bit of trivia
It doesn't mean anything, Fab isn't an acronym 🙂
In relation to my wife it is short for F#£king Auld Bag
@@stu176mmm fully acknowledged broadcast
Does anyone knows the meaning of FAB?
It means it was the 1960's...
Short for "fabulous"
Fully Advised and Briefed.
@@Rocky2007 That's just some post-rationalised nonsense that people made up.
At the time, it was a meaningless thing to say and the only objective was to suggest that the very sixties buzzword, "Fab", had a secret significance beyond simply being short for, "Fabulous". It doesn't.
If people were telling you they were, "Fully advised and briefed", all the time even after extremely simple instruction, you'd consider them an absolute moron - it's wild overstatement and excessive affirmation:-
"I'll be back in 5 minutes"
"FAB!.."
"Excuse me, just WTF is actually wrong with you?...It's really not that deep: just say, 'OK', and conduct yourself like a normal human being, can't you?..."
The car in the thing is called, "FAB 1" - are you seriously trying to suggest that the car is named for, "Fully Advised and Briefed 1"?..
I mean, think what you're writing, through.
Great viewing! Brings back many happy memories of my childhood
LOL
This is all very well, but what about all those people killed in those buildings on the ground when the craft crashed into them?
Really who cares it's fiction no puppets where harmed during the production you whiney girl 😅😅😅😅😅😅
What about the murder of an innocent Martian!!
@@unknownerror1880 Absolutely! The whole of this movie is riddled with callous disregard for life and a lack of morals! It really should be X rated! Although, some may then wonder if it was a different film about what Alan got up to with Lady Penelope! Lol.
No, they managed to evacuate the town in 35 mins, the Commander reported that.
@@andylinton2798 oh, really? That is kind of the Commander. I must show him my gratitude and appreciation some time - perhaps a drink together to begin with and then, who knows?!
The acting is a bit iffy.
😂Yes that's how dolls act 😂
This was in 1966 before all the computer enhancements arrived. A lot of extremely hard work and time went into producing these films and tv series.
Wooden you be a bit iffy with your hands tied during every scene?
@@cannyexplorer5357
Indeed... I wish I was as talented as those model-makers and designers.
@@cannyexplorer5357 Really? I didn't know.
That music when they launch Zero X iS fantastic.
Ah, those were the days - when the good guys could blow away the bad guys on kids TV!!!
Precisely.
Still happens today!
On the flip side, Zero-X came in peace….”Shoot to kill…!!!” 😂
But who cares? It was the ultimate escapism movie.
Brilliant production from a bygone era I occasionally miss! 😢
Absolutely fab, astonishing that this still grabs you. Wonderful puppetry, excellent image, good story. Fascinating old modern technology! So happy to be able to watch this! Watch the end music sequence, as British as it gets.
this one my favourite because im fan of cliff richard and the shadows
Great movie, I just feel sorry for the residents of Craigstown 😢
And Paris Hilton plays lady Penelope!
Happy days .👍 🇬🇧
Always remember having thunderbirds big number 2 as kid
This is entirely FAB.
Assembly control seems like a cruisey job. Nice work if you can get it !
Ahh childhood memories relived thank you ♥️🇬🇧
Cliff and the Shadows ... Recognisable immediately
Funny that the singer was Cliff Richard Junior! I guess no one knew back then of Cliff’s proclivities.
43:37 Alan was so pissed, man. Alan was so, so, pissed.....
Damn yeah :O
I’ve gotta go after watching this crap
