- Just some random roll-ons and one standing start. It is quite obvious that the AMG is not going to keep up with such a modern car although it was a brave attempt. 350hp vs 420hp.. 5sp vs 6sp, DCT vs Automatic, V6 vs V8... Both cars stock.

love and miss my c32. i've moved onto a bigger amg, but there was no car from that era that pushed out that much POWER. my 2002 c32 stock was spanking 2010 + Subaru sti, audi s4, bmw 335i, the list goes on.

335i stock is faster than c32 amg stock ;)
Im afraid your incorrect my friend. production years 07'-16' 335i produced 300-hp, turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, but the 2017 model gets the 320-hp, 3.0-liter six already found in the 2016 340i sedan.
The C32 AMG, which is powered by a supercharged version of Mercedes' 3.2-liter, twin-ignition, 3-valve 90-degree V-6 with an output of 354 bhp at 6100 rpm and 332 lb.-ft. of torque at 4400 rpm.
So with that Stated, NO 335i stock is NOT faster than a C32 am stock.

Sliding slowly ahead dose not matter in real life, still the old AMG girl deserve the full respect.
I'm thinking of getting one. I'm of the mindset that I'd rather have two (or three) old vehicles in good shape for the cost of one new one. This and a truck, van. or SUV would do nicely.

Also starting a race at 120km/h is unfair to the c33 being that it would be the beginning of its 3rd gear and for the m3 it would e a prime speed to race because it would be the end of its 3rd gear
With 2000e the AMG can be upgraded with kleemann stage 2. 420 HP and 530 N
It would own and still be 2 times cheaper than m3
C63 AMG with Weistec Stage 1, 2 or 3 would make M3 drivers piss their pants!
AND the e63 would make the m5 drivers piss their pants!!!

it has 60 more HP and is only about 100kg(220lbs) heavier, plus the DCT transmission counts for huge advantage..huge

I'm thinking about buying an AMG, but I've only got around $10K. Any ideas? I like the E50 and the C32 (cause it's in my budget)

In todays day and age it would not be worth it. Regardless of mileage its all about condition i have sold several of these one as mint as it gets for 6k 100k miles showroom new these cars aren't that desirable anymore. They are very fast for the price though great car. Not my type theres not even a dipstick to check oil level. Parts are expensive but quality

I'm a M3 driver. C63 is a great car and it's yours together with lots of other people's preference. No need to hate on others bro. I get it, you have a nice car. Woop woop.

That c32 doesn't seem to be running quite right, yes the m3 has a but more horsepower but it is also 400lbs heavier and the c32 has more torque. I have a c32 and I haven't lost to an m3 yet and I've raced many of them . The c32 can have many little problems that would otherwise be undetected, like ic pump problems transmission problems or the supercharger itself not producing all 354hp my car had s/c problems where I had mine replaced now its a beast again

That is not a C32AMG. It’s a c320 that is a big difference,
Don't Worry Guys its not stock. I own a C32 AMG, and believe me when I tell you that a E46 M3 right off dealer lot is NOT faster than a C32 AMG stock right off the lot. Stock a E46 M3 has 333hp NOT no where near a whole extra 100 horses at 420hp. while the C32 AMG on the other hand produces 354hp stock.

@Jadden yep.. That's what ive read so far... Have you experienced the dreaded Intercooler leak yet? It seems mine has the symptoms, even though it's not too bad yet i already ordered a replacement ic with sc (just in case)

I’m an Audi guy but between a Mercedes and BMW, BMW is untouched. Mercedes are strictly luxury cars.
