Hey Claudia! I work in the hospital as a PCT and that’s very true about the nose spray! You can get “addicted” in a sense, it’s more like your nose becomes dependent and the walls will swell! I’m glad y’all caught on early

The way to use decongestants: spray so you can rinse. So… hypertonic salt rinse (lean head to the side (opposite from the nostril you’re spraying) and slightly forward, insert the nasal rinse spray and spray it till you feel saturated; snort a little (head forward) and then just blow your nose (no paper, just to the sink, kinda gross, but paper kinda blocks it a bit); do the same on the other side. Apply decongestant. Repeat rinse. You’re now a bit more free and you’ll notice it’ll last longer. When I’m having a sinus attack I do this everyday. 1 time a day the decongestant and 3 to 4 the rinse.

This happened to me with nasal spray! Hot tip: The neti pot (bottle version) works wonders for sinus congestion and it's just saline.
