Great point about hydrogen. Manufacture of hydrogen is really energy intensive (plus infrastructure) so it shouldn’t be our first energy choice. So they key is where do we need/have to use it? Then the challenges are scaling it. Ultimately given the challenges with carbon (pollution/ peak oil) and the speed required for a transition you would think degrowth is a likely outcome.

No matter What, Hydrogen will be one of the main source of energy in the future.

We should be looking at hydrogen hand in hand with electrons. Looking forward we should be looking at hydrogen hybrid cars and hydrogen hybrid heat pumps. These will utilise efficient power when the user can, but have flexible clean hydrogen as a range extender/ back-up. This will also give consumers more choice...
Like the Swiss Army Knife anology....

Sexism is rampant. The lady has to make sure she refers to the lady as extemely smart, bet she wouldn't say that if it was a guy 🙄

Water has 1 Hydrogen atom and 2 Oxygen atoms always has and always will be there is no such thing as green Hydrogen it is hard to transport and highly explosive regards Graham Flowers MEng
