These guys are a LEGENDARY group. They are the reason why Kpop evolved. They brought changes to the entire idol industry and their music industry. These guys are the trailblazers of the next generation. And remains as one of the most influential idol group you have never heard of. While every idol group are continuously promoting themselves whole year round to keep their momentum and presence, BIGBANG disappears from the limelight. They've been around since 2006, enlisted one by one in 2017 and took a long break after that. Once they came back, pandemic happened but the group stayed on hiatus. They released one song in 2022 and didn't promote like how idols usually do. But fxxk these guys made people cry like babies just because of one song... including me.

Btw, Fantastic baby is the fans and the MV tells thestory of how the haters tried to ruin the group. Their comeback in 2012 was like one of the most unexpected comeback. People thought their controversies will disband them for good but BIGBANG rose up and gave the biggest middle finger up to all the people that tried to take them down.
BIGBANG made it possible for BTS to be where they are. They were like that in SK back in the day. G-Dragon is known as the King of K-Pop.

Despite the controversies, BigBang set down a lot of milestones, and this MV is one of them. It’s the first ever appearance of blue hair in the history of K-pop. They got a lot of criticism for it, but it did not take long for this type of colored hair to catch on. Before Fantastic Baby there was colored hair, but not “unnatural” shades like blue, green, purple, pink, etc. This was the first.
To foreigners new to Kpop. BIGBANG made Kpop cool. BIGBANG made Kpop relatable to many of us Koreans, including adults, men and women. They are the reason for Kpop's evolution and growth. They are the reason why young generation of Koreans wanted to become idols. They are the reason why idol companies started changing some of their rules and take inspiration from everything that BIGBANG did. Many even tried to be just like them, but even after 16 years in the industry, BIGBANG just exudes that ONE OF A KIND aura that can never be imitated.
And another thing that makes me love and respect them more, BIGBANG members are survivors. They've been slandered, defamed or hated over and over again. Throughout their career, conservative people in the industry and other hateful individuals have tried to bring them down just for not fitting in with our SOCIETY'S SOCIAL STANDARD. Others would have retired and left the industry if they went through the same hell they did. BIGBANG chose not to succumbed to the hate and go against our society's system. Yes, BIGBANG aren't perfect men. They've made mistakes but those mistakes shouldn't be a reason to end ones dream, their living or their life. I laud their courage for choosing to live and continue doing what they love. Some may say they are callous, but I see a human choosing life, to forgive oneself and not dwell in the past. And it neither lessens the good things they change in our society, immense growth in their company, our economy, lifestyle and taught many of us to be ourselves instead of hiding behind a facade just to fit in.
BIGBANG is the trendsetter, the pioneer and transcend kpop to what it is right now... That five dorks of BIGBANG is now a LEGEND. Deep dive to BIGBANG and u will know why we think that way. Welcome to the land of BIGBANG till whenever 😂🤣🤣

They're actually the pioneer in a lot of things, from the lightsticks and changing haircolors/hairstyles, tattoos, going shirtless. They don't keep up with the "good boy idol" image. They're Big BIG in Korea, Korean people say that BIGBANG is like picking 5 superstars and form into one group. They're BIG and respected as solo artist.
They have a song for every mood, hope you'll dive more into them especially their ballads. The group produce compose and write their own music and is very involved in everything from producing to stages, concerts.
Each song of bigbang has a different style, each song is done to the extreme, don't miss any song. Especially their live performance is more amazing than the original song❤
Big Bang, the Kings of K-pop, each of them has a successful solo career as well. G-Dragon was the one with the hair and that's the hair he wore for that era of Big Bang with various colors; he's the leader and one of the richest K-pop stars ever because not only does he write most of their songs, he also produces them and writes songs for others; he has 175 writing credits with 23 number one hits. T.O.P was the one with the deep voice, and he writes his raps in their songs. Taeyang was the one you asked who he was. Daesung was the one chained up and also in the blue suit; he has a distinctive nose and is a massive hit in Japan. Seungri is the one with the short hair and was the maknae of the group.
This is the group that got me into Kpop. My forever bias group, BIGBANG!

I'm not a fan, more a casual listener, but Fantastic baby, and Bang bang bang are in my daily playlist, with some solo or duo songs by Taeyang and/or G Dragon. You should react to some of their lives, they are so energetic ! I enjoy the MAMA 2013 Fantastic baby, and also GD and Taeyang with Good boy +Fantastic baby at MAMA 2014 even of it's just some short snippet . (Same MAMA with the rap battle between BTS and Block B , and shirtless baby Jimin... ; and also the iconic Seo Taiji "come back home" (ft Zico) )

I watched BIGBANG for the first time right after Taeyang & Jimin released their song "VIBE" I looked Taeyang up & watched a concert he did which was I must say; FANTASTIC BABY, (lol pun intended). Then I looked up BIGBANG & watched a concert of theirs and oh yeahhhhhh.... it was great !! Something about this song in particular and another one that GDragon & Taeyang did together floored me. They're amazing, no wonder BTS said they looked up to them when they themselves were young.
Yaaay, someone who 'gets' Bigbang and their ridiculousness straight away. They have banger after banger, but theyre also so versatile and so deep in songs too, they have everything. Hope you react to more, loved your enthusiasm. And if you liked the shoes, you'll love getting into GD!

Fantastic Baby was such a visual treat back in 2012, and the song's upbeat tune made it go viral worldwide. Fandoms' that stream videos to get millions of views weren't a thing back in the day, so the numbers back then were organic. It was such a hype song. It would play in parties, bars, clubs, stores, etc. el But despite its visually stunning scenes, this MV represents BIGBANG's rebellion against conservative society and a big shoutout to all the V.I.Ps that defended them and stayed with them through thick and thin.
As for their comeback, when it comes to BIGBANG, you'll never know what type of song they will release.

BIGBANG are an ICON in Korean music industry. A LEGEND. They have been dubbed as the KINGS OF KPOP for a very long time. (Nowadays, our local media call them the Emperors of Kpop). Take note, they aren't called KINGS because of popularity alone. Think of a KING that leads, make changes and help their kingdom prosper. That's what BIGBANG did for the idol industry.
Bigbang, the OG kings of kpop who changed the whole of kpop industry to what it is now (for example Bigbang and their leader GD (G-
Dragon) were the first ones to write and produce their own music so our boys BTS and others can write and produce their own music). They were HUGE in South Korea and internationally before streaming, social media and RUclips.
Taeyang debuted with BB in 2006 so he's been in the industry for a long time and he and BigBang have so many good songs. Bigbang was and is a huge influence for younger idols, they are the blueprint. BTS members have said many times that BB are their idols and role models. Jimin especially adores Taeyang.

Fun Fact: This song was the biggest hit in the history of kpop...for about 5 months. This was the second kpop song to cross over to the billboard charts and the first to do it with mostly Korean lyrics. The other being the wonder girls English version of their song nobody.
It looked like The kings of kpop where about to add another 1st to their already impressive collection. The first kpop artists to break into the western mainstream... Then Psy Gangnam style went viral. Come to think of it BigBang might be the the most unlucky group when it comes to breaking through to the western audience. They keep getting upstaged. They drop a super addictive dance track that breaks into the western charts and Psy does the same thing at a couple of months later and does what they couldn't. Also they create a style and sound that conquered Asia. Tries to break into the west because there's nothing more they can accomplish in the east but gets beaten to their goal by BTS using their style abs and sound.

Yes, at that time (2012), GDragon was sporting a short on one side/long on the other side hair cut. But it was all one color... sometimes. GDragon changes his style.... a lot. Especially his hair (including some... questionable... choices). His solo video "Crooked" features this amazing long fur coat in black and white with a Monster Face on the back. I want that coat sooooooo bad. He's been a style icon in South Korea for years.
