Thank you so much for showing me which way 'round to face the bristle roller so the forward-pointing wave of bristles flicks up dust and dirt into the suction when rotating. I presume it wouldn't work as well the other way around!
Do these vacuums have any suction, or does the roller just spin and pick up debris from the floor? I don't feel any suction when I put my hand on the bottom of the roller. Also it does not suction up the edge of my small carpets like my other vacuums do.
At min 6:00 for example most of the Oreck how to videos show an S-shaped suction snorkel at the right side of the motor as you view it. There looks to be that same docking piece of plastic for the snorkel whose end goes to the hole on the brush side. This is just for anybody looking at Orecks who find that piece in place as part of their Oreck. Further in is another spot of clog trouble.

Have Oreck Magnesium. Have unblocked it. New belt. Brush clean. New bag.
