    Hi. I went out and purchased a professional sable brush at our local art supply store, then came home and attempted your lovely swooshes you do toward the end of the video. I tried them over and over using different thicknesses of paint and watered down paint (acrylics). I just get messy swishes. I’d like to send you photos of the swishes and a photo of the brush but it won’t allow me to do that here. HELP!! 😢

    OH--very pretty!! And the color blends are so subtle and beautiful! May I ask--is that just a "regular'"lazy Susan you're using? It seems to be a practical way to help fingers from accidentally swiping the painted surface as you work (especially when working towards the edge).

      Yes it is! I got it on Amazon. It’s 14” and I just ordered another one that is 10” so that it doesn’t take up so much space on videos. But it is very helpful especially when painting big rocks because they are fairly heavy 😅

    I am used to using DIY mandala tools and I find it hard to gauge what sizes to use to get your results. Any suggestions?

    • @thoughtfuldots
      @thoughtfuldots  2 года назад +2

      Everybody uses different sets of tools which is the unfortunate part of doing tutorials. But it’s also fortunate because you don’t have to use the exact same size to come up with a uniquely beautiful design! Wish I had a better solution. I am currently waiting on a new set of tools from Happy Dotting Company that has the mm size which might be more helpful!

    Hi there Demi - I am desperately looking for the dotting rods and :ribbon: dotting tools you use. I have used your link several times, but there ae still choices. If you are saying, "use the blue tool" I want to be sure I am using the same tool from the same company that made yours. I'm new at this, and already bought the ball tools, and the wood handled dotters, and the white double ended tools with sizes. But I didn't buy the "plastic?" tools you use. Please point me to the manufacturer. THANK You very much. I love love love your art!

    • @thoughtfuldots
      @thoughtfuldots  Год назад +1

      Hello! I am not sure what you mean. I just looked at the links underneath this video and the ones labeled “dotting rods” only has one option. Also, just a heads up that I will not be using this rod in newer videos. I will be using HappyDottingCompany dotting rods because they have the millimeter size on them!

      @@thoughtfuldots Thank you for your fast reply. I like HDC, and have bought items in the past from them. Really nice. Anyway, I will wait until you show your new tools - whenever that is. And kust keep watching and practicing. 💖💖
