Please, I beg you to make more of these videos. I am begging you. I am LITERALLY on my knees right now. I need more of your amazing content. my hyperfixated brain is in desperate need of more Papa content, especially some as detailed and extensive as yours.
I could never have the mental strength to play for more than like 2 hours on any other game than Freezeria for some reason like that one was just the most satisfying to play. Great video! (Also sorry I missed the Premiere)
One thing to note about the Save Backup feature in Taco Mia and later games: that feature actually wasn't in Taco Mia at launch, it was first introduced in Jacksmith in 2012, then it was rolled back to Taco Mia, Freezeria, Pancakeria and Wingeria. (Pizzeria and Burgeria were on a more rudimentary engine so they didn't get the feature)
I feel like this might be a somewhat cringey thing to say, but I'd be flattered if someone said it to me: you're one of my biggest inspirations! The Steak and Jake references in this video hit very close to home for me, because inspired by you, I recently reviewed those games myself, for Halloween (in Hungarian though). I gotta say however, in this video, at certain points it felt like you were scrambling for something to say... which is understandable really, it's not a huge deal, the video just felt a tiny bit slower paced than usual. But overall it was still a great time, this didn't really detract from the overall quality, and you presented a lot of information I didn't know before, so thanks! Looking forward to the Cactus McCoy review!
Wow that's awesome, thank you!! I will say, it was difficult to find unique things to say about, like, Burgeria/Freezeria HD and Taco Mia To Go, they didn't give me that much to work with lol.
21:20 one side note about Taqueria HD in particular however is that they have some serious problems with their OST not muting properly (the main example being the mini game OST plays even when the OST is supposed to be muted) so take that into account when choosing which version to play; Or just wait until a deluxe version comes out, that’s what I’d recommend
19:48 Oh! San Antonian here, around here, it’s actually surprisingly common to find tacos with breakfast items in them (eggs, bacon, potato’s, you get the jist) albeit it is NEVER in that abomination y’all call a hard shell (I’m sorry, but it’s something I’ll never accept as edible), I have also never seen any restaurant using a waffle as a taco shell or using maple syrup as a sauce for tacos but what do I know, maybe I’m just crazy
i can't wait for the cactus mccoy video! i only played them a little bit when i was little, i only finished the papa louie platformers, but i do remember cactus mccoy being pretty good. i just don't have the patience to play it myself nowadays haha
The HD versions works not only on tables but also on phones but you need to download them by apk file. Now it's time to wait for Cactus McCoy video and a steam remake of the McCoy games.
I honestly wish Flipline would increase the difficulty over the course of the games more. Nowadays you get to 7 customers per day on the third holiday and do the same thing over and over again until you beat the game or 100% it by getting all the gold medals. I think increasing the amount of customers per day, the speed they come in and adding back the overheating boosters like you mentioned in the video would make the core gameplay loop more enjoyable.
Oh yeah, for sure I wish they did that too! Once you get to the final customer amount every day feels almost the same, would be great to add even more when you get further in. I also think it would be nice to vary how many customers use the dining room/phone instead of knowing it'll always be 2 every day, just for variety.
kinda sucks that the older to go games have subpar graphics. i would love to have taco mia to go but idk if i could handle a game with graphics clearly meant for the iphone 5
You know, these games show how Flipline manages to get better with every game. Every sequel, things improve. They truly are the Mario of cooking games. And yeah, Flipline really needs to lay down on the seasonal zaniness. Many of the ingredients/toppings are just downright ridiculous. Also, Quinn and Jojo should stop being closers for once. Fun fact: Burgeria is still the only game without seasons in any way. I'd look forward to Burgeria Deluxe. As for the chefs... Let's just say... once you get into Pancakeria, I have MANY choice words on the issue of chef selection. Speaking of which, thoughts on new customers being alternate universe counterparts of beloved characters?

I don't know where I would be today without these dinky flash cooking games tbh

This is definitely the Papa's video of all time.

oh interesting, good to know! Kinda funny that Jacksmith introduced the feature when the file format is “.papa”
