Hi mate great video, does this pump, make waste run uphill or just lift it to black pipe that runs down hill or does the black pipe run uphill ? Many thanks
Darren, keep up the great work on the videos. As always, you and your team do quality work. I've purchased same pump station. May send you an email offline for a quote , but in the mean time and just for information, when you tapped into the sewer manhole, did you just come in with the with the 63mm MDPE pipe or use the company's 63mm - 110mm Sewer Connection Kit ? Would love to see a pic if you have one.
Thanks for the reply. Roughly what kind of price am i looking at to install i have dug the hole for the tank and trench for the pipe. I just need to know a rough figure plz as i will be getting some quotes but want to know if i am being over charged. Or could you tell me how much you charged for the install of that pumping station, i would really appreciare it and it would help me. Thanks 👍
@rossco333333 understanding the overall design. Max length of run from the main drain and min/max fall. How much cover the pipe needs, and whether a lean mix or something else is needed. Also rules about whether all water can go into it and about placement near buildings, boundaries etc. Not yet found an easy to read design guide. Also sizing of course. Thanks
@@-Colonel-Kernel Max length of run from the unit depends on the head height of the pump so it can vary. If it's a foul station then it's fine for grey water to go into it too, obviously no sanitary products, oils, foreign bodies ect, they will cause a blockage, overwork the pump and essentially void it's warranty. We have installation guides, disposal guides and other guides that I'm sure would help you.
why installing a macerator waste station , when it seems that the pipes are at street level? will the waste not be able to flow with gravity to the main sewer?
You should have installed 2 barrels into the ground connected via a pipe to the pump barrel. This will keep all the s%%t in the main barrel without blocking the 2nd pump barrel. Eventually the pump will fail and it will be one messy job trying to change the pump when full. You need to protect the lower part of the pump blade area with a mesh so that toilet paper and ladies pads don't block the blades. Talk to the owner about connecting to an adjacent barrel and also think about a fail safe system back up like a spare submersible pump.
This is the correct way for this system. It’s also a vortex pump so toilet paper etc doesn’t go through the blades. Everything passes BY the pump but not through it. It’s not the same as a Macerator or centrifugal pump. And we don’t want the s%%t staying in the chamber, we want it sent out into the sewer. This is a different system than you may be used to.
Installing 2 pump stations for so few amenities is overkill, following the disposal guide and regular servicing of the pump station will ensure a healthy pump for years. It looks like a perfect installation to me 👌🏻
Welcome back! Thank you for showing the sewer system, which is very interesting. The garden is looking great.
I like how you explain everything you don’t see that on so many RUclips vids
Great job with the garden Darren and Nambi.

No food is better to man than that which he earns through his manual work.
That compressor thingy looks like it might have a mind of its own if you let it lol.

Hi Chris yes it can pump vertically 👍🏾

Same question from me. Would love it if you could share a photo and explain how that connection is made. thanks
Could you put a link up for this system please?
How much would it cost to install the sewage pumping station. Also do you cover Birmingham area
Hi sorry on London, this unit cost about 700 if I can remember. Cost to install will vary

Do you need an inspection chamber
This is an inspection chamber
great video, so hard to find info on a pumping station installation.
Did you manage it in the end?
@@rossco333333 not installed mine yet
@@-Colonel-Kernel I work for the company who makes and often installs these tanks. What is it exactly you need help with?

does the poo stay in the black tank or does it somehow get to the 63mm pipe and then into the underground sewer along with water waste?
Hi, the pump removes the waste down the 63mm to the outside sewer system
@@darrenthebuilder then that pump is the shit! 😂

Surely the correct practice is to include a quality weed suppressant membrane.
Why do you think it won’t have one? If you ask I’ll tell you
@@darrenthebuilder Darren I think they’re people watching who just love to pick holes in everything.
Basically lol
Not finished yet - just compacted down, I'm 100% sure they'll lay a membrane...
