Stallone is the greatest philosopher of all time. Rocky is not about boxing but about life and how to overcome doubt and fear and the obstacles you encounter in life. Lock up is of the same caliber. A great film.
I agree with you. He has never mentioned of this movie on his interviews. I don’t know why he doesn’t talk about this movie. Although this movie is so underrated.
@@te-tg4ip Exactly. Also don't let anyone tell you he was from a working class family, his family were middle class, his mother owned a hair salon etc.
I like these Time a lot.Im now 33 Years Old and better watch Movies from the 80s and 90s.So much emotional and good ! But the new Movies are not the same.I dont know why.Trimmed to Action and not with Heart
Thats one of my Fevorite movie since many many many years. I watch that movie since my Childhood again and again. I miss that kind of movie today. Today they have a big money, a lot of action and technoligy. But they can not make that kind of feelings in a movie like in the old movies in th past
I don't think there's anyone left in the cinema business who is genuinely creative and interested in telling positive/uplifting stories like this anymore. I never had cable television, but I used to watch movies ALL THE TIME in the 80's and 90's. I would ride my bicycle to the VHS rental places every couple days and pick some movies out with the money I made mowing lawns and there was a seemingly endless supply of great films that were both mainstream box office hits as well as lesser known movies like this one. My parents would take us to see a movie they read about in the paper almost every weekend back then too. It seems like even many of the bad movies from back then are memorable and worth revisiting sometimes too. I feel like 80's/90's was the peak of feature films, and it will never become that good again. Just about everything nowadays is made deceptively to promote terrible worldviews or destructive political agendas, I don't even pay attention to any of it anymore... It's all just crappy remakes or superhero movies or stuff I just don't care about or am not interested in. There's no creative spark anymore, cinema seems to have solely become another way to manipulate people and sell terrible products. Sad. 🤷♂
When I was a kid, I used to watch this movie with my father, and in the final scenes, we always covered our face, because we didn't want to let each other see crying. Now I'm almost 40, he's almost 70... I think that nothing will change if we would watch it again together.
The legend Stallone + the maestro Conti = guaranteed fucking masterpiece. This is the anthem of those taking the most brutal hits day after day and still fighting back. Thank you guys for a life-soundtrack to the essence of ‘heart’.
Yeah I noticed have you ever seen a film called " desert heat" aka " inferno" - Jean Claude Van Damme, Johnny Trejo anyways this score or the original version I noticed is in the bar scene then I researched it and realised bill conti did that also but its the same music just a bit slower ruclips.net/video/0tsNbVmKbSQ/видео.html
Can't believe this movie wasn't a hit back in the 80s. I saw it for the first time about ten years ago and loved it; it instantly became one of my favourites of Sly's. Yet you read the reviews and they're vicious. I'm glad I didn't know that before seeing it, and could just make up my own mind.
Movie critics were very amused about lock up, over the top or cliffhanger. Cinema numbers were not as high as expected but after some years, these two Stallone productions have become all time sly classics.
We had this movie on VHS tape at home, I couldn't understand why my grandfather and mom loved this movie. I was to young to understand back then, i just watched it now...😔😔 I wish I could tell both of them that I understand now 😔😔
Could be the ultimate theme song for leaving something sweet behind, remembering good times, losing someone, or shedding a tear for no good reason. EPIC MUSIC.
This is one of Stallone's best. Great story, a loosened-up humble, & positively minded character in Frank Leoni TERIFFICLY played by Sly' a balance of melodrama, & action, direction was good, other characters were worth paying attention to rooting for, hating at, etc. Overall great movie!
Una melodía digna de recordar, evoca gratos recuerdos, que el tiempo y su implacable paso jamás borrarán, ese amor que solo una vez en la vida se experimenta...
amazing best film and soundtrack this song is definitley a tear jerker, it reminds me every time that iused to watch as a kid in the 90's probably seen over 30 times and never gets old.

Siempre me hace ponerme en melancolía, recuerdo los bellos pasajes de mi vida, Sus lecciones por muy dolorosas que han sido, pero al final es un obstáculo mas que debo vencer y seguir adelante.
I always cry when I listen to this music, just so overwhelmed with emotions, this composition made this film my favorite, I love watching it, this is my favorite film. The music in it is amazing, thanks Mr. Bill Conti

My dad told me to watch this film in order to see what it means to be a man, after watching it I understood what a real man was and helped me become one myself.
One of Stallone's best movies. I saw in the theatre with my Uncle, a man I so badly miss, and may he rest in peace. back in the late 80s. It was the last movie we saw together before he passed in 1990.
Frank is my fav character ever. A strong, tough and badass man, but one who always avoids fights and wants to solve problems in other ways, he always comes up for his friends (he only uses violence when you hurt those he cares about, usually very good and innocent people aswell). He helps everyone in the jail and gives them hope and happiness. He's even respectful towards the guards. He just wants to sit out his time and has no wish to proof himself to anyone. A REAL man and true HERO.
This is the song that reminds me of when I was married and I had just had a miscarriage at 12 weeks I was so devastated it was Xmas eve and my husband at the time turned up with two tiny kittens in a basket, one ginger and one Tuxie, feelings of devastation mixed with love for these two scraps of humanity, before long they were chasing around the living room, they are seven now, my fur babies x I couldn’t have any more kids you see x
This soundtrack and movie is nostalgic. Why don't they have any original storylines and soundtracks now days, they just seem to use what's on the radio or commercial to promote their movies sad
