Tammy, so glad you put on your thinking cap and came up with this great idea!! I was trying to figure out how to make templates into SVGs to cut out on my Cricut, and totally didn’t think about tracing to use on my SNC SDX225F! I have it stored away and forget how handy it is to use, I bought it for cutting embroidery appliqués and stamped images. I’m a retired Grandma now and watch your videos for inspiration. Thanks for making this video! 👏🏻❤️
Wonderful explanation! I don't use my Scan 'N Cut often because I never truly mastered it and have to relearn how to use it every time. I didn't have great luck cutting preprinted elements and eventually just gave up. However I will now be able to rewatch your tutorial and stop the video as needed to guide me along so thank you SO MUCH!!!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I forget to use my scan n cut to replicate projects ( V-8 moment for all you oldies but goodie’s) You’re the best!
Great instructions Tammy. I need to use my Scan n Cut more. I have a bit lesser version since yours was sold out when I bought mine a couple years ago. I do love it though.
I love your tutorial. I have a CM350 SnC, so things work a little differently on my machine. I wasn’t completely happy with how the box turned out. I SO SO wish I could send you a picture. I like having a box with tabs on both sides, and top and bottom. I did the same thing you did, which is have the front overlap the back so the short side tab is not exposed. What I did, for the back, is copied the entire template EXCEPT for the side without the bottom tab. I flipped the AG template over (left to right) so now my new back image has tabs on both sides. I also made my image narrower than the AG template so it would fit on the 8” paper without worrying the SnC machine would cut into my mat. Got it? The back portion is 1/2” narrower than the AG template (1/4” smaller on each side), and there is a flap on both side bottoms. Then when I prepared my front template from the AG template, I copied it EXCEPT at where the side flaps are. I flipped the AG template bottom to top to get the shape and dimension of the flap, and traced that image on both sides of the top sides, creating flaps that are not on the AG template at all. The last thing is, the SnC does not score, but there’s a work-around. If you draw a dashed line where the score would be, the SnC will cut those dashes. If you are careful to not make them too long or too close together, the slight slices into the paper allow you to fold along those lines just as if they had been scored. Hope you don’t mind me throwing my 2 cents your way! Keep up the good work.

Thank you SO MUCH for this detailed video. Can you export an image from Scan n Cut to an SVG so it can be cut on a Cricut?
