Yes! She shows zero insight, zero accountability, zero empathy, zero remorse. She only played nice with her character witnesses because she wanted something from them, to cultivate some semblance of a good reputation to save her own ass. If someone doesn't have something she wants, she drops the mask and is her nasty self.

Judge K was perfect in his sentence. He read it and included all the things he took into consideration. He kept his facial expressions neutral. He also did NOT give Sarah any attention or ability to legitimately say he was unfair or biased. Making any comments to her directly would have given Sarah pleasure. She would be able to find herself vindicated in some strange way if Judge K gave her any of the narcissistic supply that she desperately needs in order to not see her utter insane ways of thinking and acting.

She is attracted to collecting the most vulnerable...her pets, her friends, her partners...she revels in playing the mama white night to vulnerable individuals/a fellow societal victim. What I've gleaned from folks who have experienced the differences between jail and prison, she's not likely to find her tactics as viable in the latter as in the former environ. One thing that always stood out to me was the way Sara changed the tone, temper, and highness of her voice depending on how she wants people to think of her. When she took the stand in her trial and was speaking to Mr. Owens she had a soft, high, sweet voice, but when being crossed by Mr. Jay her voice was lower, stronger, and snipped. She did this in her statement as well. When she is reading she is intense, strong, and snipped. She stays this way even when she says how she is soft spoken at the end. When Mr. Owen’s asks her about religion she goes back to being sweet and high voiced.
This seems to be standard for people like her. Lori Daybell, Ruby Frankie, Latisha Stauch, and Jodi Arias all did this as well.

For me, the most despicable thing Sarah did was after she read off her 'hit list' and spoke her "apology". 1:28:18 Sarah said she objected to the (Sister Victoria's) statement about this being a moment in time and then completely plagiarized and recycled Victoria's statement about how, for her (Sarah) this was forever... forever... forever...
The written portion read a bit like a hit list. Besides demanding / guilt tripping people into forgiving her so we can be good and godly and she can 'move on', it's basically a list of her enemies and how they have wronged her. "This is just the tip of the tip of the tip of the iceberg" considering what she put in her written statement, that sounds like a threat. It sounds like Sarah is planning a revenge tour.
This case has really changed me. It is really opened my heart up to see the dynamics of what has been going on in all these families. But it has also exposed a meteorite core of intolerance for this kind of behavior. I almost miss my old gullible self. 💔

Narcissism is about choosing your own reality, choosing the one where you feel the best about yourself. For Sarah, seeing herself as the martyr, the victim, that stands up to oppression and only grows more beautiful and stronger every time she's criticized is the reality she wants to be true if nothing else can change about her current circumstance. Narcissists reshape their view of the world instead of adjusting to it and becoming a better person.

It wasn't Jorge's fault or anyone else's, it was her own actions. It was also likely that diatribe that landed her in prison for life, because it showed she had no remorse for what she did, and no empathy for Jorge or any of his family. Any mental health consultations she is recieving in detention hasn't assisted her in taking responsibility for her own actions.

Thank you so much I loved hearing you today! I clicked you first thing this morning! I agree with everything you said. I think she made most of it up. I mean the state pointed out there were no holes in the walls and in police footage when they went into the house we never saw broken doors or holes anywhere. The leg was apparently done by broken glass that she fell into not Jorge and the black eye happened when she was attacking Jorge and he tried to get her off her and kicked her in the eye accidentally on the steps (during the neck incident). So you are spot on about her leaving things out. Some on in another chat felt she might be using other victims stories she had heard in the jail and mixing them in as well. It’s also possible that giant book they were reading on DV had examples and she had a tablet in jail so she could found stories on there. I personally think some of it was what she had done to Jorge, especially the phone. I felt so horrified for the family as she read that vitriol out and it’s just the tip of the tip of tip the iceberg. I can’t even imagine what else is in this person. She is dangerous and honestly I’m surprised she hasn’t hurt someone before this. She is totally remorseless and takes no responsibility. She doesn’t change. She has no insight at all or she twists it to suit her agenda. I hope Jorge’s family can finally grieve now. I hope Brian and his son can quickly finalise their court case and move on with their life free from this drama and that they are happy. Maybe Brian will even remarry and find someone lovely if he wants too. I hope their son is in some sort of therapy tbh. This is traumatic.

It isn't even a stab wound. She cut herself on a broken wine glass - it came out via the apartment manager. But there were so many lies she told that the prosecution would have been there for weeks if they tried to fight every one of her stupid lies. They stayed focused on the murder of Jorge and trusted the jury would find Sarah not credible without disproving each and every falsehood that she sang.

Replay as usual. Have been wanting to hear from you on SB's sentencing. I felt like I needed forgiveness after her statement, which was radiculous. Wish we could have heard entire unedited version...

@DrPatriceBerry My EX used to project his bad deeds onto me, so I wonder how much of what she said Jorge did to her were actually things she did to him.

How was Dr. Harper be so easily duped? It's almost as if she was a willing victim of Sarah's and Owen's. I guess the pay was good.

Do you remember what a hard time they had finding a therapist to take her part? I have a feeling Owen scraped the bottom of the barrel.

I've seen clients so successfully manipulate that they manage to pit clinicians against each other. The job requires compassion and empathy, but I've seen many over-identify with their clients to the point they lose professional objectivity. Some have underlying issues, like a rescue complex, for example. A lot of us come to the field with our own traumas, which can be a powerful tool, as long as we are not assessing through the lens of our own experiences.

I wonder whether Judge Kraynick changed his mind about how much time he would give Sarah after she delivered her narcissistic rant (You're right, Dr. B., this is not an apology.). It would be interesting to find out that he initially intended to give her a sentence of 30 or 40 years, but changed the sentence to life, when it was clear that she takes absolutely no responsibility for her crime.

@@dockaren I think he had the sentence ready based on the jury’s decision and her behavior throughout this 4 year process.

THANK YOU!!! I always yell out at the screen when Sarah talks “you’re using that word wrong”. It’s so annoying how she pretends to be so smart yet uses words wrong incorrectly all the time. Her use of commas should be a crime. Straight A student my ass. Making 10 lines one sentence with a crazy amount of commas that aren’t even used correctly.
