Phil Jackson on Mj and Kobe "Michael was more charismatic and gregarious than Kobe," Jackson says in the book. "He loved hanging out with his teammates and security guards, playing cards, smoking cigars, and joking around." That just wasn't Kobe. According to Jackson, he kept to himself-a self-imposed isolation that he attributed to the absence of the collegiate experience.” Jordan was a mean SOB on the court whether training or in game. Off the court he was considered really nice for the most part. He always hooked his teammates and their friends and family with tickets and merch. People confuse the on court persona with the off court persona.
@Queztheplug No, Scottie DID NOT take CHI to the ECF in '94. He took 'em to the semis (2nd rd) that season, where they lost to NY. So, I don't know why y'all keep saying that. The Knicks and Pacers were in the '94 ECF.
@queztheplug it's was a great team but people forget or don't know that to replace jordan, they drafted Tony kukoc, steve Kerr and luc Longley. They got rid of their weak bench and replaced them with better players. Bulls in 94 were a better team then in 93.
@@queztheplug No, it doesn't. And this is where NOT having a frame of reference to what actually took place at the time, seriously compromises the assessment of players/teams from that era, on the part of younger fans like yourself. Because on paper, it looks as if CHI made quick work of CLE in a best of 5, seeing as how they swept 'em 3-0. But if you haven't actually watched the series, you wouldn't know that: A) CLE was missing 4 of its starting 5 (2 were All Stars) in that series vs CHI and B) the one All Star that actually played in the series for CLE (Mark Price), was seriously hampered w/ a SEVERLY STRAINED hamstring
And despite the OBVIOUS ADVANTAGE for CHI in the series, they still STRUGGLED vs CLE. And anyone who actually saw the series knows this. I know, because I watched all of it unfold in REAL TIME, in my college dorm room as a freshman LOL!!
Difference between Poole and Kerr is that Poole didn't earn Draymond's respect by standing up for himself. Poole also never understood the whole team aspect, constantly taking bad shots and causing multiple turnovers and demanding more minutes. He had to go regardless.
Michael Jordan retired that was why there was a a gap between the Double Three peats. If he had not retired for almost 2 Seasons there was a good chance that Michael Jordan could have 8 peated.
the team being still good without MJ was always a positive to me, because he truly came to a trash franchise and left it better, he actually made his teammates better, they were good without him, but he was a tipping factor, idk why people talk about the team going to semis as a knock against MJ when they got championships when he was there, if MJ was there when they went to only semis that year, it would not be spoken so positively, also before MJ came back in following year, nobody talks about their performance that period lol
Because his role players made it to the semi's. They didn't replace him, they ran it back without him. It kind of showed how stacked that team was that you could take the best player in the league away and they still won 55 games. Like I said, MJ's role players won 55 games without him.
@SonnyK248 3peat Bulls added 5 new players. They beat a Cavs team missing 3 of their 4 best players in the 1st round. Bird, Magic, Drexler, Shaq, Barkley, Wilt, etc. all left teams that were successful without them, 94-Bulls aren't unique
@@sideshowbobsaget8876 All teams add players. The point was that they did not replace Jordan. They couldn't because they were literally still paying him. You say the 94 Bulls aren't unique but they are. When Shaq left LA they went from a team practically living in the finals to the 11 seed and that was with prime Kobe. When Bron left Cleveland they went from the 1 seed to the 15 seed and the second time they went from a team that were in the finals 4 years in a row to the 14 seed. This is what's supposed to happen when a team loses a huge star without replacing them but in the 94 Bulls case they went from a 57 win team to a 55 win team...
@SonnyK248 3peat Bulls added 5 new players after Jordan retired. It's not the same team Jordan left. Shaq, Wilt, Barkley, Drexler, Magic, Bird, etc. all left teams that were successful without them. When Shaq and Bron left those particular yr other players left as well or were injured.
@@sideshowbobsaget8876 Dude they made two "major signings" that summer and I put that in quotations because they would not be considered major signings on any contending team and that was a rookie Toni Kukoc and Steve Kerr. These are guys that would have still been signed even if MJ had stayed and were never seen as his replacements. That's not enough to replace Jordan. They could not replace Jordan because they were still paying him so they had to run it back without him. Face it dude these were Jordan's role players. When he came back they continued to be his role players. And his role players won 55 games without him 👌
What yall want me to react to next?!?

Patiently waiting for it dawg. Lol. Jordan "one of the best defenders ever "

That’s correct.
Either way Scottie taking them to the second round still shows how good that team was without jordan
They wouldn't have been that good without his influence, he got them in the right mentality. That doesn't go away immediately.@@queztheplug

Now look up what happened when he tried these antics with Bill Cartwright or Robert Parrish.

It wasn’t just a punch in the face. It was a fight between the two. That’s why Kerr and he respected each other afterwards.
Not Eastern Finals....LeBum
