Fun fact: the lore behind week one from the illustrator for game says week one is based off fighting the dad but it started with them about to do the “deed” but then the gf was grabbed by her collar, the boyfriend then looks up 20 million miles into space to see the dad and then the dad snaps his fingers to then make both of them appear on the stage

The “mock up” wasn’t really a mock up. If you press 7 you can access it by changing the name to monster and reloading the json. It’s already in the game and ready to go.

The lore for week 2 actually can confirm that "Monster" was meant to be apart of week 2 because Skid and Pump were tricked by monster to take girlfriend according to Phantom Arcade. (The artist for FNF) So yeah, he pretty much plays a big role in the events and stuff.

Fun fact: when showing the unused “backspace to exit” he got the secret guitaroo man Easter egg, which is insanely rare. Good job tetra. Also technically you can access ridge with no mods as of now but it has no music to it and the only song that is long enough to play it from what I have tried is the last song for week 5. Open debug mode and change the song name to ridge, then press reload audio and reload json. Then change the song to “Winter-Horrorland” then press enter. It plays the winter-horrorland song but the notes are different.

Theory : The Tankman and GF Ducking sprite is related. At some point, we're supposed to battle Tankman in a battlefield-themed area and GF dodges some sort of projectile that comes toward her. That's why her hair is blown in a direction.
Or probably the dead Bois and ducking gf was probably they will go under a tunnel and the animations will happen

Well, the song “monster” is actually usable by going into week 2, going into the debug mode, changing the song name to “monster” and then pressing enter, and that leads to you getting into the song.
Its any song. Not just week 2
before pressing enter, you have to change the opponent to monster and click "save Json" and then click enter

Fun fact: The options menu is used in the accidental week 6 leak from ninjamuffin. So it is possibly used for debug or developing purposes only
The options menu is actually supposed to be the key binding to switch controls.

Theory: The mother's name in Week 4 is actually "MOMMY MUST MURDER", Since there might have been a cutscene where she kills all those dancers out of frustration, and she throws all body parts out the middle of the street.
It’s actually linked to the gf duck sprite. In week 4, a street lamp comes and the dancing people fall over and die, and that’s why the girlfriend ducks.

Hyper active 2023: there is now a mod called FNF vs nekofreak and you can battle that protagonist
You can actually access the Old Lemon Demon by yourself:
First you have to start any kind of level
Second You have to press 7 on your keyboard
Third you have to go to the song tab
Fourth your gonna change the song to “monster”
Fifth your gonna reset the audio and reset the JSON
Finally you press enter and BOOM
You can fight against the Old Lemon Demon!

The crying GF sprites are used when the bar is full and you miss a note. But the sprites have the right speakers instead of the early things she's on.

EDIT: The GF also has a complete animation cycle of her bopping while her hair blows to her left, similarly to Week 4. Also, the BF has sprites of him being hit by something (presumably Daddy Dearest’s foot, judging from a Tweet, which ALSO shows an unused asset), but there are no animations for it.
EDIT 2: There’s also a LOT of unused sprites/animations for the Christmas version of the Girlfriend! It includes almost all of her regular version’s sprites, with the exception of the unused Week 3 boppin’ I mentioned earlier. You can TRY to see them by selecting gf-christmas in the debug menu, but that would just crash the game.

PhantomArcade said in a Stream that these assets were created from concept art from Bassett, who draws scary monsters in a unique way. The bleeding pumpkin is just a concept art for the Lemon Monster.
There is something that is misinformed about the monster song it is still playable with its own layout in the debug menu by changing and song name to Monster and resting the song in the same screen
My theory for the black monster coming out of a bleeding pumpkin, is that in early stages of development, lemon demon was meant to emerge from Pump’s head, and could not be included in the game because it could’ve been too graphic of an idea.

I second this request. One of (if not, the) greatest metroidvanias of my childhood, and I'd love for a Lost Bits to be done on it for all unknowing to finally see the beauty of which is that little indie gem.

3:05 the design is that of stan from the still in development nightmare cops, being developed by tom fulp, founder of newgrounds and the creator of pico, and johnny utah, who also created the tank men web series.Stan and the other 2 main characters also appear in the background of the xmas week as cameos.
R4 was my childhood, that, Persona 1 and Crash Bandicoot 3 were almost the only games i played on my PS1 so when i heard Ridge i started singing it outloud even if it was just a fragment of the song

12:30 fun fact (that i guess, already obvious): the footage that was shown in the background is actually a secret game over screen that has a 1 - 1000 chance of appearing when you fail a song. It happens to be a reference to an old PlayStation 1 game.
That actually in the game now but good luck getting this since you literally have to fail for a few hours just to see this.

I think the "dodges" sprites have to do with the pieces of the Dance Fellas of the 4th week, because if you see, the Boyfriend sprite has the shirt moving as if there was wind there, and the Girfriend that has hair swinging, it's just an assumption.

@@crazycanyon3028 perhaps if you beat a certain week you were intended to be able to play as the antagonist of that week (e.g. if you beat week 6, you would unlock Senpai AND Spirit as playable characters

The "Monster" songl can be played in the debug menu. It's basically considered a secret level in the game by the community.
By the way song is spelled song not songl but I do miss spell stuff too.
