Hi there. Thank you so much for this informative video! Have a few qns to ask - Roughly when will iBLOC applications be released (for your batch, if you rmb) - Just curious for the matric card which we will be getting, will the matric card be carried forward to our undergraduate studies in August, or will there be 2 diff matric cards (i.e. one for ibloc and one for undergraduate studies in aug) Appreciate your replies and all the best for your uni studies. See you ard sch next year.
hello raymond, im glad you found the video useful! anyways, i received my ibloc confirmation on 9th dec last year. as for the matric card, you will receive one which states 'non-graduating' that expires after ibloc and another one which states 'undergraduate' when you matriculate in august. the nus email and student id issued during ibloc will be carried over when you matriculate. thanks for the well wishes and hope to see you around next year too:)
Hi, thanks for the informative video. I'm enrolling next year and I was thinking of clearing this mod first as well. However, I only ORD in June, and in Jan I'll be quite busy with this huge outfield in Thailand. So will there be strict deadlines to finish each mission or can I just OTOT them?
Hi Karthikraj, the weekly deadlines for each tutorial / mission (starting from 2nd/3rd week of Jan) only applies to the experience points which you will need to level up. Then again, tutorials / missions give out A LOT of exp so it’s highly recommended to finish them within the stipulated deadline if you want to max out your coursemology grade (33% overall). Depending on how fast your batch finishes the weekly assignments, the prof may unlock the assignments for subsequent weeks too. I do know a few of my batch mates who finished the entire course (apart from the extra assignments) in March/Apr and then chill afterwards. Do keep in mind that you will be writing your code on paper for midterms and finals (theory) so you’ll need some time in Feb / March to get used to this format too. Hope it helps!
@@marcustudioz I see. Did you have a computing portfolio / get A for math and computing? Do you know what are the requirements in the selection process?
Hmm I don't know what the selection process is. I didn't declare any of my portfolio then but I took PCME and got A for math, hope it answers your question@@aditya2000_a
Hi, may I know what is the average grade for CS1010X for your batch. How many people get A,B,C etc.? Will like to do CS1010X next year if my application was successful with a main goal of mapping over a grade of A- and above.
hello ateron, the breakdown of the grade is not made known to us but based on the handful of people ik almost all of them got B+ (even with some prior experience) and half chose to drop the B+ while the other half chose to map over and take cs2040 in y1s1. only those with a computing background or an extensive coding portfolio like algo comps did well based on my knowledge:)
Rly amazing video Marcus :)
thanks jason, hope you get your easy A for cs1010x next year😉
@@marcustudioz THX HAHA BUT unfortunately I decided to settle for Info Systems :”
@@jason5505 hahaha i see, it’s a solid choice, all the best:)

Hi can I know when you applied for iBLOC (was it right when the application opened, or towards the end?)
I applied somewhere in the middle bc I was still deciding with my friend!
