Nada está perdido. Ver reaccionar así, a Supertramp, a las generaciones actuales nos llena de esperanza de triunfar frene a las fuerzas extrañas que dominan la industria que contaminaron la música. Gracias JMBOY
ikr, i'm not even a big supertramp fan but when i found this a few years back i was like wtf, how did i miss this? the latter part with the piano is pure gold, every note.
My favorite Supertramp song, powerful both musically and lyrically. Unbelievable talent. Recommend listening to School/Bloody Well Right from Crime of the Century together as one song...
I used to play that piano solo on the dash of my car! It got me every single time. So difficult to pick one song I love above all else on this absolutely perfect album ❤
Hey JMB, great selection bro. Alot of ppl dont usually like the big bands, i mean more than 4 or 5 members but i love it because they have a broaded sounding music. With superteamp its clear theyve mastered the big band sound. Keep doin wat you do bro Cheers from Bill in Toronto, peace n blessings ❤
Supertramp opened my head messed with my brain when I was 16 and here I am 65 still trying to understand where these guys are from!!!!!! JM great reaction!!!!!
Siiiiiiiii, yeeeeees. They are the band of my live. Amo su música, tengo todos sus discos y me han acompañado desde que tengo 14 años. Thanks so much for reacting them. I suscribe you
Their best song IMO. All Supertramp in one song. Stellar arrangements and sound. Awesome piano solo from Rick, full of feeling, groove. Awesome bassline all along the track. Awesome drumming. Awesome keyboards playing and guitar. Awesome sax in the end. Awesome singing and lyrics. Awesome everything! Try anything from this album and anything from Crime of the Century to Brother where you bound, you'll be thrilled lots of time ;-) Enjoy!
It was great to watch your reaction to such an amazing tune i would recommend a track called downstream by duper tramp one of the greatest love songs ever good luck my friend
"Child Of Vision" Well, who do you think you're foolin'? You say you're havin fun But you're busy going nowhere Just lyin' in the sun You tried to be a hero Commit the perfect crime But the dollar got you dancing And you're running out of time And you're messin' up the water And you're rollin' in the wine And you're poisoning your body And you're poisoning your mind And you gave me Coca-Cola 'Cause you said it tasted good And you watch the television 'Cause it tells you that you should Ooh, how can you live in this way? (Why do you think it's so strange?) You must have something to say? (Tell me why should I change?) There must be more than this life It's time we did something right I said Child of vision Won't you listen? Find yourself a new ambition I've heard it all before You're saying nothing new I thought I saw a rainbow But I guess it wasn't true And you cannot make me listen And I cannot make you hear So you'll find your way to heaven I'll meet you when you're there How can you live in this way? (Why do you think it's so strange?) You must have something to say? (You tell me why should I change?) We have no reason to fight 'Cause we both know that we're right I said Child of vision Won't you listen? Find yourself a new ambition
Still have the vinyl for this. Child of Vision is awesome - still remember all of the words. Love the bassline at the beginning that had you shaking you head. Keys are magical at the end. Sax is the cherry on top.
È un autentico capolavoro tratto da un meraviglioso album. BREAKFAST IN AMERICA ha una copertina ed il retro di un'ironia che molti non riescono a vedere .
Love all of them, But this is my Favorite on this Album, Rick is just banging those ivories, STELLAR BASS, ITS JUST PERFECTION That Sax at coda is never expected UFF !!❤🎉🎉🎉
New Sub thanks mango ... Everytime i listen to this i bawl ...mom turned me onto this album when it came out ... Lost moms along the way n this always brings back such memeroies .... Playing bass since 7yeRs old in 77 ... Still makes me cry 😢... Thanks my friend i need ed this bad ... Love n respect ❤😊
Rick goes berserk on that soge live, I have so many different versions from different concerts, all different and all fantastic. He is the Dave Gilmour of the piano .
You're reactions are wonderful, Since you don't interrupt the music. I Love this song. Supertramp was a great band. I got to see them in 1979. On this song, Roger is also playing the bass line on that little keyboard. It's not just the bass player, and I think his playing reinforces it and it's perfection. (You can see it if you look up the live version). Rick really is amazing on that piano solo. John's sax is fantastic as usual. I'm a Roger Hodgson fan. I've been watching all of his videos on RUclips. (He left the band in 1983). He has been writing and performing all of his "Supertramp" songs as well as his newer ones, to date. He has an angelic voice and when he sings his own songs it really shines. Check out Roger Hodgson on RUclips videos. He has a different bunch of musicians that are just as great or better than Supertramp's
May I suggest that you do John Farnham live with The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra his version of Help a Beatles song that he owns this version or our unofficial national anthem Your The Voice. You will ve blown away with this man's voice.
I was born in April, 71. I had natural musical gifts from the start so when this album (cassette, actually! LOL!) i was probably 9 years old. My father couldn't stop listening to it which was good for me, as I couldn't either ( I had my own cassette tape player and even headphones!) I have a long career now as a professional musician. Child of Vision is textbook for hearing and understanding what a band can do at its best. This isn't Genesis. This is a bit more accessible and relatable. I just love it.
Hey my friend, I have three kids Kerrie 36, Michael 34, Krystal 32 who grew up hearing all the great music you are now hearing. They have been to many live shows with my wife and I. My son said… ‘If he is listening to what you suggest, he’s in for a real education on classic rock, He’s cool and fun to watch”
I have been fortunate enough to have seen Supertramp “The Tramp” Live 3 times. Their live shows are a spectacle and brilliant. Each member is a musical genius. Rick Davies is my favorite keyboards player and John Helliwell is favorite Sax player. He is a blast to watch live. The bass and drummer are awesome and Roger’s guitars are superb. The only live show I put above Supertramp is Pink Floyd, who I have seen 4 times.
Ditto on this album being a masterpiece! As a brother growing up in Flatbush, Brooklyn during the 80s, this album burst into my world and never left it... but left an indelible mark on my musical vocabulary, tainting my sonic vernacular for decades to come. Then they did it again with album "Brother Where You Bound" -- do check that out, if you haven't already. Thank you for dredging up great memories with this piece. Peace!
DUDE.... TOO COOL. Thanks JM for this reaction. I knew you would like it. Supertramp, is my second favorite Live band. Only Pink Floyd is better live. The musical talent in this group is incredible. You hit another HOME RUN.
You gotta check out their 1985 album "Brother Where You Bound". But listen to the whole album through. Incredible music that really takes you on a journey. One of the most talented and imaginative groups ever!
You should react to the 1974 or 1975 video of Supertramp playing DREAMER. It is either from 1974 or 5 I don't recall. But it is in the studio, not live at a concert.
Hey Jimboy! lt was my favourite off the album when it came out. l was 13. The Live version in Paris in '79 is even MORE amazing! Rick's piano is way more NUTS! We're talking Primo! Here: ruclips.net/video/jK45RTKPfKo/видео.html

This is, by far, the best song on the album. The music is outstanding and the lyrics are timeless, seeing the world as it is today!
One of those songs with a fade out you never want to end!
Lot of people out there don't know bout this tune. Hidden gem of the album.
Hidden gem of the discography imo, one of the best Supertramp has ever produced.
I am one who missed this one😮 thnx 4 playing it❤
ikr, i'm not even a big supertramp fan but when i found this a few years back i was like wtf, how did i miss this? the latter part with the piano is pure gold, every note.
@@God.Almighty yes the Wurlitzer electric piano.
YES. especially the jam at the end.
That look in your eye when Rick started his incredible piano solo....... I smiled knowing what was coming.
If you want a tear in your eye ....... "Don't Leave Me Now"..... is AWESOME
I could listen to this song over and over again on a loop
My favorite Supertramp song, powerful both musically and lyrically. Unbelievable talent. Recommend listening to School/Bloody Well Right from Crime of the Century together as one song...
I used to play that piano solo on the dash of my car! It got me every single time. So difficult to pick one song I love above all else on this absolutely perfect album ❤
I feel every time I listen to this song, my mind is erased and I’m listening to it for the first time. Not many songs can do that to me.
Hey JMB, great selection bro. Alot of ppl dont usually like the big bands, i mean more than 4 or 5 members but i love it because they have a broaded sounding music. With superteamp its clear theyve mastered the big band sound.

OMG. I grew up with this album. I heard it for more than a million times! The best album of all times.
Nice reaction by the way.. Hi from Germany
I grew up on it too! LOve it....every song on the album is good!
Supertramp opened my head messed with my brain when I was 16 and here I am 65 still trying to understand where these guys are from!!!!!! JM great reaction!!!!!
That smile when Helliwell started his Sax solo...... now you know why they are my favorites at their instruments.
It's brilliant! It just comes in at the end to tail the whole song off nicely. Genius!
@@geoffos42 I agree
The great finish of one of the best albums ever recorded. What a joy. 🏆🏆🏆
Mi canción preferida del album.

I was 21 when this came out. My teenage years were GD great so many bands came out! Enjoy what I got to listen to when they were new!
When you see Roger and his band playing this …… true magic …. Crazy 😜 love ❤️
This is what you get when Jazz and Rock come together and have a "Child". That Sax needs to go on for more than just the dessert it was.
Your reaction to the sax is utterly universal..
Glad you like it brilliant band
Isn't that just one of the best songs ever?!
From one of the best albums ever made.
Great reaction, sir.
A perfect album. Every cut was a gem.

This is added to my Facebook page, with all the others you have done I asked for.....My Grand kids will love it.
This is one of the few instances when Roger let Rick break in with a piano solo stealing his song. Most of the time, it was the opposite case.
God forgive me for loving so much Supertramp, but I know YOU YOURSELF love their músic!...
A great group, their best album and my favorite song on it. Great choice!
dude, you get it, man. That's the reaction. Out of this world piano.

True masterclass in piano. Half the way to the moon by Phish is another.
This was one of my driving songs in the 80's. Roof down in the MGB GT, Pioneer stereo blasting this out as I drove around town.

If you like the piano in this, try : another man’s woman by Supertramp. Live and studio versions
Rick goes berserk on that soge live, I have so many different versions from different concerts, all different and all fantastic. He is the Dave Gilmour of the piano .
Agree, I prefer the live versions as the tempo is faster…

I've watched 3 of your videos, now. With this one, watching rocking out to that piano solo, I know that we are musical appreciation kindred spirits.
Banging piano solo
Such a tight funky song
Your being well educated in great music enjoy 🤔😎
As soon as I saw this reaction I grabbed my pipe. Thanks.

Did you hear School and Fool's Ouverture?

From "Brother... Bound", check out "Cannonball," "No Inbetween" as it flows into "Better Days"... Enjoy!
So you were indelibly stamped by their music?! 😂
only now I realize after 40+ years that they mixed this so that the snare drum hit on the 4th beat has louder reverb that on the 2nd beat
Doug is Thomson’s bass is killer

sorry, but no Roger Hodgson --> no Supertramp

The only thing stopped this album from 100 percent perfect was the piano solo in this song. It's still 99.9 percent perfect.
It's a joke? The solo from Rick is stellar, awesome, gorgeous. The most beautiful piano solo ever recorded on any Supertramp album.
