I would enjoy deep conversations that'll have my brain thirsty for more knowledge, and if I'm close enough to him and he trusts me with an opinion on lyrics and music then I'd be the happiest person in the world to have (other than his six brothers) to hear his creativity and appreciate his flow.

Jonnie's reasoning why he chose the book and his mixtape, why he chose Tyler, and his arguments as to why he had to refused to buy that coloring material is amazing. Am seriously in awe. I don't know how to describe it. I know he's good at public speaking, smart and duh, his IQ, but there's just something in him that makes me adore this young man even more as a person not just an artist. I feel like i can learn something from him. I'm saying this not as a fan but as a normal person. If watched this before i became a fan, i'll definitely be following this young is man's journey of life...and you can see his sincerity and honesty.

Wow... RM now is the biggest lover of art. He loves visiting museums and galleries, reads art books, donated money to reprint art books, and recently spoke at The Met.
It's an interesting clip and I would really like the viewers to view it beyond the frame of being a BTS fan and here is the reason why.
Tyler had valid reasons to refuse the offer. But we need to pay attention to the exchange to see why he did what he did. The exchange between RM and Tyler is so interesting.
Firstly, kudos to RM for identifying the need for Tyler in a foreign country like Korea and providing a solution that would actually benefit him. Considering the time frame of the task, I would say that RM did a phenomenal job. As a marketer, I take weeks to study the need and create draft strategies.
Secondly, from a marketer's point of view, this clip showed me the importance of paying attention to the details. RM did everything perfectly but he forgot that his items can be deemed worthless in the market, the moment an alternative is available. The books could be borrowed from the library and his mixtape is free. Had this book been scarce and mixtape worth a few bucks (on market), Tyler would have bought everything. Tyler concern was that he is already given "too many books". So, either give him an alternative medium or give him something that's rare.
The other person only paid attention to RM's age. He paid attention to himself and not his customer which eventually backfired. Not that he is to blame. I guess he was also doing this kind of stuff for the first time.
But it's interesting.
how interesting! thank you for sharing your analysis ☺️💜 I think namjoon might have forgotten about the practicalities of his offer because he was so occupied in finding the best way to meet Tyler’s needs. like, looking beyond the game show setting and genuinely wanting to help Tyler, and not trying to “market” it unnecessarily when it doesn’t need more than a book in his opinion. I think that is defo why he won in the end. but it could also be argued that namjoon actually did not know his market enough to know that Tyler wouldn’t read and is bored with reading, perhaps namjoon idealised him a lot (he said he was his fan), and maybe because of that he assumed that Tyler would share his personal interest in reading to get to know the world and form arguments better?
@@Ray-vt8ix yes, that too can be the case! There is a possibility that he assumed Tyler to like books and did not really ask him but considering the rules of the games, the questionnaire was not enough to reveal that. A face to face interaction would have been better.
I do agree that the time frame under which they have to complete the task was restrictive. Had Namjoon got enough time in his hands, he would have taken Tyler with him, understand his concerns and then offer a viable solution which would not have been a book because then he would know that Tyler is actually bored of reading books. As you rightly pointed out, Namjoon won because he was able to showcase an ideal scenario - understood the "concern" Tyler might have had and he offered "help" and not a "product" to sell, the reason why he did not even consider the actual cost.

RM didn't just buy a thing just because it is needed for the show .... He shows the sincerity and he analyzes the person through what he/she lacks....
If I would be the one who is given by a book by RM, I would gladly accept it, not because I'm a fan of his but because he tried to know me as a person.... And because I like books hahahahahahah!!!!! But honestly, in my own perspective, a book as a gift is better than a a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates (because I'm a girl, okay)....

My dad is a natural born sales person, he could sell you anything. He has/is teaching me the skills that is sales. I have to say I was very impressed the way RM did that. First he started by saying he was a fan which established trust, (he knew he was a foreigner who has worked hard to learn about Korea) so he got to an emotional side of him by showing that even though he has studied a lot, that some people think he still has a strong emotion (compared to people born in Korea). Then he showed him a book that gives you a better understanding of how Korean people think, so maybe he could understand why they think he has a strong emotion, with easy Korean because it's not his first language and it would be "Comfortable for him to read". Finally he shows him his mixtape (since RM is a Korean person) would give him a better understanding of how Korean people feel. I'm only 15, so I might have missed some things, or I didn't explain them well. Also sorry about my sentence form, I'm not to sure on if they're right or not. Anyway UWU I hope you have a great day!!

Namjoon is the perfect man. not only is he smart, handsome and talented but he is also very in tune with his emotions. He is very reflective and self-aware but also cares about the needs of others. He would literally make the perfect husband. His future partner is so lucky
Not impressed with that American guy I was touched by RMs delivery offering the book and mixed tape I bet that guy wished he’d taken it now, I felt RM was sincere and I’m glad the experts recognised him and that he won RM is genius beyond his years
He wanted the mixtape but he didn't want the package. I think when he made a comment about "another book" it is probably because most people have tried to give him books as presents since they think he is intelligent or bookish. He said he had a lot of books at home and that they were actually causing him a bit of stress. If you think about it, he probably lives in an apartment that doesn't have a lot of space. RM did a good job analyzing Tyler, but sometimes even the best salesman can't sell everything.
Think of it like this, lets pretend you love croissants. One day, you are walking through a market and a vendor starts addressing you, trying to sell their freshly baked croissants. However, the reason you are walking through a market is because you just left a restaurant after eating, you feel overly full and the thought of eating more turns your stomach. You most likely won't buy a croissant at that moment, maybe you will, but the point is that you have already had enough of something you like but adding more of it would make it worse not better. Does that make sense?
@@trevorlange it makes sense. selling tyler more books is like selling more ice to eskimos. I've watched a few episodes of problematic men, i can tell that tyler admires RM's intelligence a lot. He would have bought his mixtape if it didn't come with the books.

@@trevorlange Consider this, though...if you're a "bookie" (and assuming he is), you NEVER have enough books. In my previous apartment, I filled my bookshelves, then started double stacking them. Even then, I couldn't stop buying more books...and I'm first and foremost a MUSICIAN, but as a "student for life," I will always accept (or buy) books...because there are always more things that I can learn from them. Maybe there's another reason Tyler didn't want the book from 💞Namjoon-ah💞...and the "Library" option doesn't play, unless he's not a bookie. Bookies want to *own* our books, and love the tactile feel of turning pages as we read.

His IQ is so huge party because if you look at the qualities. He has amazing empathy for a genius. Not many do but he’s very unique. Great logical thinker, speaks multiple languages, and problem solving is something he does daily with his group as a leader. I wouldn’t be surprised if his IQ has gone up after as much soul searching and expanding his knowledge he does in every culture he visits. I would love to see 💜
