Is there a way to do this without having to amend the prices of every individual product? We would like to run a sitewide sale (200 SKUs). Changing and the re-changing each product price individually is a long and arduous task. Many thanks for any help which may be able to be given 👍
To do that, I have exported the pricing csv and added the compare at price for Canada, then reimported. That is the only way I found that I could do it.
It works for a single product (Shirt), but in your video at 4:50 you show a screen which is not mine. I dont have "edit products" or "more actions" possibility. I have to do it single for every different size and color of the shirt. I really dont see another possibility. But I have to do this thousands of times... I dont want to give Dicount at the end... I dwould strongly prefer set a compare price very much. May I ask for help? LOL 10 Minutes later... I have to mark collection and than add a new row with marked "compare price". But enough other problems waiting for solution :-)
ok this is my second attempt doing this. So as long as there is multiple variant like sizes, this feature didn't work. Hmm still finding a solution. Shopify should make this work for multiple variants
This could be a problem within your theme, not showing compare price.. you can easily show it using shopify liquid but can be complicated if you dont know how to use it.
I do have another video on discount codes customers can enter, but it doesn't display automatically on the website, which a lot of people want to "show the discount" vs calling it a sale price (which like you pointed out, is truly what it is).
@@BrennanValeski hahah Shopify sucks for this lack of such an important feature. I can't believe that people can't apply a real "Discount Code" unless at the Checkout Page. Have you tried creating custom JS script that can apply a "Discount Code" via a hidden iFrame in the background, then a quick refresh to the customer's screen, and boom Discount Code applied from any page?
its not working
Thank you for the video! Was looking for a way to make this adjustment and you explained it so well.
Youre an actual life saver, ive been looking for an easy way to do this without messing with the code and this sale makes it looks sleek and clean.
Didn't work
Thanks man, you really helped me out! You earned my subscription.

That's not a "Discount" ... that's a Sale Price.
