As the child of a creative, I have learned that Ordinary people rarely understand the mind of a creative such as yourself...the beauty is being sure enough of yourself to give no F's - being who you're destined to be👍
Crazy how Prince Paul produces three De La Soul albums, 6 Feet Deep with the Gravediggas and works with Stetsasonic and from the sounds of it still had no credit to his name in the industry. From that alone he's an absolute legend, in retrospect if you were rapping in the 90s Prince Paul should have been a man you come begging at his feet to produce an album with you. This man is hella underrated.
It's hard for some producers to let the artists grow and have control of their sound after they helped create their initial success. Same thing happened with Quincy Jones and MJ & RZA and Wu-Tang Clan.
🔥🎵Beautiful Night🎵 off Psychoanalysis 🔥 that record would cause REAL problems today (it will never get radio play), but U GOTTA GIVE IT A LISTEN with an open 90's PRE cancel mind 🤣
I love De La Soul, but from Buloone Mindstate to Stakes Is High, is like stepping off a cliff. Prince Paul was a huge part of De La Soul's success. I haven't bought at De La record since the disappointment of Stakes.
Wow. To each their own. But Stakes is a bonified classic my G. Real spit. It was a tad bit bloated, but I've NEVER heard anyone say they didn't like Stakes. Well...until now I guess haha...
If you can’t play “GHETTO THANG” “KEEPING THE FAITH “ “BREAKADAWN”” and lots of others from their 3 albums with Prince Paul. Then you need to change the people your around.
For me, De La's sound fall off immensely after Stakes Is High. Without Prince Paul manning the boards, the tracks sounded pretty mediocre with exception of the collabos with Mos and Def & Common. And the title track of course. I'd had that album on CD for over 20 years and maybe only listened to it twice. Straight doo doo. Dumb decision not to include Prince on that. I get that they were trying to evolve their sound, but Stakes just didn't have the same feel to their original blend
No, roofies make you blackout. This was a prank and I'm sure if the rapper hadn't drank it, he would have told the girls after getting a few laughs. If the rapper is a real 80's thug, I wouldn't admit it either, lol.
Prince Paul needs his own radio show.
HD Word!
He used to have a XM radio show called the Ill out show.
Prince Paul Podcast???? 🎤👽😨😱😂😰
Pod cast

NOC FORMRUNNA that was a very good cd
That album is a classic... it’s basically a movie on wax
Most slept on hip hop album made.
Excellent concept album. Solidified him as a top 5 producer in Hip Hop.
Man...when he said he's been 18 since he was 18, he was speaking literally. My man looks 30 years younger than his age!
A Prince among thieves was brilliant and great for the culture..
As the child of a creative, I have learned that Ordinary people rarely understand the mind of a creative such as yourself...the beauty is being sure enough of yourself to give no F's - being who you're destined to be👍
I would love another De La/ Prince Paul album.

It's hard for some producers to let the artists grow and have control of their sound after they helped create their initial success. Same thing happened with Quincy Jones and MJ & RZA and Wu-Tang Clan.
Price of Thieves was classic!!!
I loved Pyscho analysis that album is Gem.
Back when Hip Hop artists actually considered and called themselves ARTISTS, now we got a bunch of RAPPERS running around.
Psychoanalysis is amazing, such a dope album

Wow💜💯😂😂😂😂😂
I love De La Soul, but from Buloone Mindstate to Stakes Is High, is like stepping off a cliff. Prince Paul was a huge part of De La Soul's success. I haven't bought at De La record since the disappointment of Stakes.
Stakes isn't disappointing but out did sound like a regular record. My favorite group sounding like regular rappers did throw me off a little bit yell
Wow. To each their own. But Stakes is a bonified classic my G. Real spit. It was a tad bit bloated, but I've NEVER heard anyone say they didn't like Stakes. Well...until now I guess haha...
BOX5 BASTARD I mean, they grew up as well. It was inevitable. That might have been part of the split.
Ahhhh.....don't forget about Art Official Intelligence...
@@broccolihart1 And Grind Date. Young Guru admits that the Grind Date is one of his favorite all time albums.
Good Thing De La Soul did Stakes Is High without him, because thats the first De La Soul album that I could really play around other people😂
If you can’t play “GHETTO THANG” “KEEPING THE FAITH “ “BREAKADAWN”” and lots of others from their 3 albums with Prince Paul. Then you need to change the people your around.

this is great for a ketamine infusion.
So basically he attempted to roofie a chic : (
