A fine actor with an unbelievable range and all the while carrying trauma. As a teacher I applaud the teacher who saw the talent in Samantha and as a teacher in a rough area I am always watching for signs of trauma in the students in my class. This is a huge undertaking and I applaud Samantha for this.

Every single word... thank you Samantha for giving me a voice, I just wish someone had seen some potential in me instead of the use that they could get from me... I am 38 now, have bpd, ptst night horrors full package of what my neglected and abusive childhood made me. I also hope that nobody has to go through what I had to go but the reality is far from the truth. Keep up fighting.

I feel like every time I see her, I detect trauma in her eyes. Like all of her life of success, including her enlightened forgiveness never totally overcame the psychic damage.
It bothers me how the damage can be life long. I wish it were not so. The alternative is that somehow it is stopped early.

You are a brilliant actor Samantha and it's devastating to learn of your childhood. It takes strong people like yourself to shine a light on this abuse (from Professionals too who were supposed to keep you safe) but I know, nevertheless, that it cuts you to the quick. Not sure about your association with the WHO though. Evil organisation.

Fearing my words may come across the wrong way, I thought about not writing anything here. With that said, I am not in any way saying what happened to you in any way was right. All of it was 100% wrong with what happened to you. However, I believe your experiences similar to mine just different has made you stronger. And your able to take those emotions and put them onto the screens. Your experiences have molded you into who you are today. Unfortunate with what happened yes, but in a sad way grateful. Without those experiences you might have gone down a different path. We are all experiencing our lives in the manor in which we do for a reason. I was in constant financial throughout my life. Seeing it as a child and as an young adult. However, it's made me appreciate moneys gifts and purpose by not having it, so that when I finally broke free of that struggle I could realize the value of it. There is value in everything we experience. You just need to courage to find out what that is. And Samantha Morton you have done just that. You've found the value of it and turned it into a positive. I am proud of you and all others who have broken free of the hate and struggle in our lives.
